Remember when the kids would just drink alcohol and have a good time. Then alcohol was vilified and the big crackdown on underage drinking at the college and now the kids are taking pills and doing things that are killing them instead of just drinking a little. The "Do-gooders" strike again.

Good Lord wrote: <quoted text> That is their problem. Everyone has access to an education--and everybody gets drug education in school. Everyone. If you buy the ticket, you take the ride. If you are willing to ingest a drug, knowing that their are potential health risks, you accept the consequences. Being dumb is not an excuse. And if it is, then it's Darwinism at its finest. We don't need people procreating who cannot grasp this concept. You said "everybody gets drug education in school.". WRONG, WRONG, WRONG! The majority of drug education provided by schools today from K through college is a apparition of political well being portrayed to the general public as overwhelming and effective. In reality it is minimal a best, concentrated more toward at risk students who already use, ignored by administrators as unnecessary, and what is provided is so dated and poorly taught students gain nothing from the course. The powers to be though have done their job with the general public you included because your assumption that "everybody gets drug education in school." is believed by most. It is much easier to ignore the problem when someone else is failing to intervene as they should. Problem solved. WRONG!

You need to move away from those high voltage lines over your house, the sooner the better

Drugs are cool. Don't you read the News and Review? Didn't your hipster teachers ever make double entendre jokes about smoking weed? Don't you ever read about the cool people in Hollywood doing drugs? Don't you listen to the music? Now show an anti drug movie with the production values of a 6th grade film class and watch the kids laugh.

It's a piss-poor excuse and you should be ashamed of yourself for thinking that people are SO DUMB that they don't know drugs are bad.

I have never participated in a school "drug awareness" class but the title is self explanatory. My guess is they have the opposite effect of heir intent and that that is in accordance with the college's hidden agenda of promoting their liberal party down image. It sells! And our mayor just keeps on a-smiling. Government, government and more government spending and taxing. What a way to go, literally.

How about 16,000 deaths a year from prescription drugs and over half of them are moron adults. One thing that should make you happy that national homicides still lead by a thousand deaths each year. These drugs a peddled by your favorite doctor, advertised by your favorite television station and kills someones favorite child. Morons come in many forms, some never understand the impact of losing a child or loved one to drugs. Some morons never understand real reasons why thousands die annually and millions become addicted annually and government keeps doing what it has been doing for decades. Classifying someone who has died from a drug overdose as a moron says more about you than anything I can say.

From the time we are little kids we are barraged with drugs are good, sports, television, radio, news print. There is a drug for everything that could possibly be wrong with you all promoted 24/7 by alcohol industry, pharmaceutical industry, it is a billion dollar industry to sell you a drug to makes you feel better. This machine that promotes drugs 24/7 makes any attempt to educate that drugs are bad a dismal failure. If your fantasy that everyone knows drugs are bad allows you to simplify and be able to understand the problem as you see it than fine, but it does not make it the truth.

If you want to start a crusade, why don't you take up the banner and try and fix something some people have no control over? Heart disease: 631 thousand per year Cancer: 560 thousand per year Stroke: 130 thousand per year flu and pneumonia: 56 thousand per year And we're supposed to get up in arms over something that is a CHOICE? Taking drugs is a choice. Being a moron should come with consequences.

It would be nice if the powers that be would take an interest in the drug problem at CSUC. Ignoring it just gets people killed. Even if the drugs are ingested by choice other people pay the price as well from taxpayers to accident victims.

I think there was one person in Northern California that died with complications while having West Nile Virus this year and I sure wouldn't want to cut spending on spraying and fogging our valley. People dieing from drug over dose is not as important as killing mosquitoes.
