Food Stamp Recipients

I am eager to learn why so many people are on welfare in our county. Do they need it or are they just sucking the goverment dry. I completely understand the fact that if you need help with groceries and health coverage, you should get it. I am seeing just the opposite. I see people riding around in their "tricked out" SUVs and nice Impalas, sporting more gold in their mouths and around the neck and fingers than you could shake a stick at, Yet in line at the grocery store and convenience stores swiping the little card that we taxpayers have busted our asses paying for, and swiping it as if it were a Visa Card.
I am p*ssed that i work 40 hours a week as a nurse in an admired community and i see these people coming in our doors with OD diagnoses. Explain to me how you can afford all your top-of-the-line fashions in clothes, handbags, and shoes. Drive A game vehicles and wear more Gold than the local pawn broker owns but you can not afford to feed the 4-6 head of children in your home? I flat just do not see how this is not Goverment fraud! Lets assist those in which require assistance. And in the same breath, lets pull put the "gravy-train" on strike!!!!

at the risk of sounding racist, i think if the truth be known the vast majority of food stamp users are either black or hispanic. health care too is subsidized for these two groups. i know i'm gonna catch a lot of flack for this because it's not "politically correct" but it's hard to argue with the facts! it's time that people say what they think.

yes satisfied metterite, i agree, i am a firm believer that you can not help someone who has no intent on helping themselves...All I have to say is they need to remove the seat from which their asses are planted and get a job. The vast majority recieving assisstance is the very ones who do not deserve it much less need it

There are a lot single mothers who use food stamps because their sorry ass husbands won't work or can't find jobs(and yes, people make severely poor judgment calls all the time), and I know plenty of folks of all races who use food stamps. It's not a one way street. And, health care in Metter is a joke, a last resort. Even if for some reason I lost an appendage, I would rather drive thirty minutes to Statesboro than have anyone from Metter treat me.

Oddly enough I agree with daydreamer about everything but the sorry ass husbands that want work. Thats a two way street.

well i am a nurse and i feel like i have treated each and every patient that comes thru that door with nothing but everything i have in me. I am sorry you feel that way but i can assure you I have never done anything that was unethical or distastful to any of my patients for whom i care for, unfortunately, i can not speak for others. But i can tell you this if you are on welfare why are you on crack too? I am still confused. I am speaking of the many races that abuse the taxpayers dollars. Yes mine! yes yours! and whoever else has made a ht in this world no i do not feel sorry for sorry people. I believe you had the same opportunity i had as a child,teen, and now an adult. You really need to understand the post itself before you go judging the healthcare team at any facility. Unless you are educated on how to treat conditions presented, or know the HIPAA and OSHA standards, or until you are familiar in the least about rules and regulations of a companies policy and procedures than you really can't make a call on what you would do because we never know until put in that situation. It dosent matter what color the person is thats getting the welfare
as long as the person gets the help they deserve.The persons of color you are speaking of dont make the decision to give them the assistance most likely in Metter someone white does.Oh by the way the drugs are mostly sold by persons of color but supplied by believe it or not mostly by caucautions which are often times farmers,store owners or well respected people whose only means to keep the same lifestyle in Metter is to deal in drugs.News flash your not going to make a lot of money in Metter.
In Metter even if you are a teacher or working most likely you are still going to need some type of assistane due to the low pay.

i make 50,000 a year and have never asked for assitance. I work in Metter and have for 19 years.I don't understand the thinking as to why I must support the world because I have done my job as a citizen. Not everyone is deserving and everyone can do as I have done.

There are people all of this country taking advantage of government assistance of ALL races. I heard someone say about two months ago that it is required that you take a drug test at random to continue to receive food stamps. I agree 100% with this. I hope that this is true! But, on the down side there maybe alot of innocent children going without food.

i believe if you are able to work and you choose not to, you don't deserve to eat! also why should the taxpayers pay for all your illegitimate kids.

AMEN country, what has to happen in this country is to vote out all the sorry ass politicans that make these entitlements avaliable to these people. i feel that if a woman can lay down with a man and have several childern, they need to take care of them. i didnt get these childern for them, so why should i pay to feed and take care of them............. just my thoughts....
