It hurts me to read the comments left on here saying Gary is guilty....before you write hurtful and hateful things, think about everyone that has to read these. Yes, there are many people affected by this situation, but no one has the right to judge another person...all everyone knows is what they are reading in the papers and statements made in an ongoing investigation. You aren't the ones doing the investigation, and you weren't there. To say a person is guilty without knowing beyond a shadow of a doubt, is an ignorant statement. Grow up and quit running your mouth before you know ALL the facts. You have no clue to any extent of this situation or whats being said or anything. It makes me sick to read all these horrible comments....I pray for the Diaz family as well, and I hope that God will bring justice and the TRUTH to this situation.

I knew gary quite well and we all knew it was just a matter of time before he snapped.

are we not suppose to put our real names out there? well everyone on here has been back and forth at eachother wether gary did it or he didnt. talking about him beating on a woman. one of the last comments read "what would make gary do such an awful thing to that man?" and thats something nobodys really talkd about. if gary did this WHY would he do this? i hear this man helpd raise him?- Are we going to assume gary just flipped n did this did they argue did gary have a life long grudge towards this man? does anyone know this? Not that any reason whatsoever could ever justify it , but IF gary DID do this what would be his reason? i havent seen gary in a few years honestly, but the haga i knew was very loving he talkd alota sh** but id never peg him a psychopathic killer. i hope not but time will tell all in my prayers.

I have known gary for most of my life and I couldn't believe it when I heard the horrible news. I grew up with him and knew he was a troubled kid ever since little league baseball. He was prone to violence with a smile and on more than one occassion got aggressive with me after using drugs. He is a good person deep inside but facts are facts. This isn't the O.J. Simpson trial, police are not causing a conspiracy. Beating a pregnant woman is evil and truly shows the capability to commit murder. I feel for the victims family and pray every day that justice will bring some closure.

Gabriel, known to his family as Leo, was a good man. He loved his family very much. We will miss him terribly. I pray for my family that we can find comfort and peace in our hearts for this horrible event that has touched us so deeply. Leo, we love you and find comfort in knowing we have another guardian angel to watch over the Diaz family.

If gary is innocent, why isnt he talking???

I know if i was accused of murder, and didnt do it, I would be talking and telling exactly what I did that night.

I have known gary since tee-ball and he has always been an agressive guy when someone says something he doesnt like. I have seen and heard about multiple instances where gary has put people in hospital due to fighting. and he is the one that brags about it.

I just cant belive he took it to this level.

And yes, Gabrial was there for the past ten or so years of garys life and helped raise him. I really hope justice is served in this case.

It so funny how we as Americans have a justice system that states a man is inocent until proven guilty, yet before ANY facts are concluded we have tried and convicted a man with what the newspaper are printing. Trust me when I say I am very close to this case and nothing has been concluded yet. Yes Gary was the last person to be seen with Mr.Diaz, but that proves nothing. There is blood in his truck and in his bath room, but whose blood. How sad we will feel if the DNA comes back and its not the victims blood. If it does come back then justice will be served, but for now why dont we stop judging this case in the paper and let our justice system do its job. We all need to have a little more compassion for both families and continue daily to pray for both of them.

We can talk about prejudging but I have personally witnessed his violent anger many,many times. Gary has severe anger problems and obviously never got help for them. Now it is too late.

Per police records and the girlfriends account, Gary had been drinking all day, I can attest that 1/2 bottle of whiskey is gone and 8 beers out of the refrigerator. Girlfriend wakes up from a late nap, chastises Gary for getting into someone else's liquor cabinet, he violently grabs her by her pony tail slamming her to the ground. More evidence at my home that this happened. She fought back (5 1/2 months pregnant) got loose grabbed the phone to call 911, this enraged him further. He grabbed the phone and threw it down my hallway (wood floor) he threw it so hard it made dents and destroyed the phone, she ran from him again upstairs, he grabbed her knocking pictures off the wall and breaking frames. She fought back again, got loose ran downstairs to her cell phone, he catches her once again, destroys the cellphone, she finally gets to another phone and calls 911. The evidence is in my home and on her body. She was taken by ambulance to the hospital to check out the baby, she has a huge gash on her leg and large knots on her head where he banged her into the floor. The destruction in my house is evident. He was crazed then and I assume he was crazed the following night. I have had Gary in my home, he was a wolf in sheep's clothing and I thank the lord that it was not his girlfriend and unborn baby that he killed!! It could have been them. And poor Mr. Gabriel, he did nothing but try and help Gary. Unbelievable?? Yes we have grapple with it every day, but the evidence on domestic abuse is REAL!!! And just to set the record straight, as we have been previledged to some inside police information. The evidence is overwhelming against Gary, not just a little bit of blood here and there. Just wait until trial time and all you doubters will know as we do that Gary is quite capable.

I know Gary better than probably any of you jerks. Please stop saying these mean things about my family member. Please, I am begging you. Anyone can read these and you people are just all so terrible. He did have another side to him, but he is not a killer. IF ANY OF YOU TALKED TO HIM YOU WOULD KNOW HE DIDN'T DO IT. But none of you have, because he is not your family member so keep your mean mouths shut, please. Pretty sure he is the one that called the cops on his violent, pregnant girlfriend, by the way. I understand that some of you people may have met him once or twice but all of your comments are very hurtful. You should try to be encouraging the victim's family, not discouraging mine. Gary is a great young man that would always do anything for me. Also none of you have seen all the evidence. None of you are his lawyer, i'm pretty sure he still doesn't have one. And for those saying he is refusing to cooperate because he is guilty, it said in the same article that he told them everything he knew. He told them he hung out for 5 minutes and went home. That's what happened, so what the hell else were you people expecting him to tell them? That he did something he didn't do?? I'm sure you would ask for a lawyer too if you were accused of something so ridiculous. I'm sorry, but if you think he should say more than what happened then you, sir or maam, are a moron. So why don't you try and look smart and keep your comments offline.

I can never see gary doing this. I hope that is the case. My prayers go out to both parties and especially lauren and his son. Were pulling for u gary.

LISTEN UP PEOPLE. Before you all saying this manis Guilty, You need to get the both side of the story and get the fact together. If you dont know this man(Gary), You need to stop pointing the fingers at people.

I met Gary when I hired him at Lithia Grapevine Dodge. He was a very nice young man and full of life. This is a horrible tragedy in every way that we can look at it. As for me and my family he will be in our prayers each day. I am sorry I did not stay in touch with him in a better way.

Gary I miss your singing across the showroom floor!! You always made us all smile and laugh!

Check the police record, a young lady from my address called the police after he beat her up, check it out. I can say what I want, this is a public forum and Gary's family is not the only hurting here. His girlfriend (EX!!!) and Gabriel's family most of all.
Your family, ha!! Some history YOUR FAMILY has!!! I have met Gary more than once, we thought he was a little off, but just in a goofy way, now I KNOW different. You can say what you want, the guy is guilty of hurting his girlfriend and God knows what else. I wish OUR FAMILY had never, ever had contact with GARY HAGA!! He is evil personified.

I feel for JR and his mother, the diaz family, and all of gary's family and friends.
we're all shocked.. he'd spent many a night with myself and friends in jr high / high school. i wish it was a huge misunderstanding, but know better.
