Yeah, there are alot of minial jobs coming here. I love the design of the house I just bought. It is well insulated and made with quality materials. I think it was built by John Mahr. The neighbors are great. Songwriters and musicians. There are even some more Yankees from Ohio here.

The best neighborhood hands down in spring hill is Cameron Farms!! Its full of excellent down to earth people that dont think they live in brentwood. Also on top of that its the best kept neighborhoods and the design and landscape of trees and flowers is unmatched by all the other extremley ugly newly built hoods. You would have to be a damn fool not to agree

I agree, but it does need sidewalks. If it had sidewalks it would be the ultimate subdivision.

I have to agree about Cameron Farms even though we haven't officialy moved there yet, we are looking to upgrade to a larger house and have several friends that live there so we are waiting for the right house to come on the market. John Maher built several homes there also. I love the size of the lots, you will not find that hardly anywhere else in Spring Hill. Most of new homes are on less than 1/4 acre. I don't want to live where I can reach across my deck/patio and shake my neighbors hand while they sit on theirs...to close for comfort.

I agree some of the more expensive neighborhoods have brought a snotty group of folks into Spring Hill and I'm not crazy about it. I'm a native, grew up here, and would like to keep the "down-home flavor" that sets us aside from Brentwood, even Franklin. I personally could care less that you paid $500k for your house...you got ripped in my opinion, but not my concern! I'll be happy with my $250k investment and my big 'ole backyard!

I can't agree with Cameron Farms. I almost moved in there and I'm so glad that I didn't. The roads are small and narrow, the Neighborhood is not kept up well and it's becoming a bit "dumpy" with people parking all over the streets and trailers and cars being worked on in the drive ways. The homes are not consistently nice either. I lived in Newport Crossing before which was a John Maher neighborhood and it was nice. But I have moved into Crown Point which is much nicer with all brick homes and the lots are bigger and everything is maintained to a higher level. They are a lot more expensive homes but worth it. Campbell Station is really nice too ! Just my 2 cents.

I must disagree with you Joseph...I've never seen Cameron Farms "unkept", they have a strict HOA that would not allow it.
What's wrong with someone working on their car in their own drive? My husband maintains our vehicles in our garage or drive. Also, haven't seen many subdivisions that people don't park on the streets from lack of room.
Crown Point is so-so, cookie cutter homes, in my opinion, and Campbell Station is way over-priced.
You also run the risk of living next door to the neighbor from hell as many of my friends are finding out after moving there. Too many restrictions!!!! Your lawn must look a certain way, no flagpoles, no basketball goals or bikes left out, holiday decorations must meet certain restrictions, fences must be a certain style/height...blah, blah, blah.

Some HOA rules are good, some are just absurd. I even had a friend, who is a contractor by the way, move into one of the newer subdivisions and was told he had to use one of their "approved" fencing contractors and not do the work himself and save half the cost even though his company installs fences in Spring Hill! He installed the fence per their requirements and has put his house on the market. He is now wishing they never left Cameron Farms!

There should be strict rules with HOA. I would not want someone parking there beater next to my house and keeping a certain level of maintance throughout the sub's keep your property value up. This is not Columbia! We live in a growing city and we don't want trailer trash moving in.

Thank heavens we have the HOA. I also can't wait until we can't park on the sides of the streets, too. If we want our neighborhoods to look like trash we would have moved just farther south.

By the way, Wyngate (The Parks) is hands down the best subdivision in town.

Augusta Place is one of the older small subdivisions in Spring Hill and in my opinion one of the best kept secrets! The people are so friendly and it is a really safe place to raise your kids.

I bought my first house in Augusta place 10 years ago. My wife and I were 23 at the time and saw the whole subdivision being built. I would not say best kept secret but they are great starter homes for young couples.

HOA rules mean nothing. Most HOA's don't enforce a lot of their rules. I'd love to see mine enforce the no parking in the street rule. That's the most common anyway.

There are several good developements in and around the Spring Hill area and each one has their pros and cons. I have lived in Cameron Farms for nearly 10 years and have seen several other of the newer developements go up around me. The H.O.A. is very active and does a really good job of keeping the neighborhood looking great and updated. The restrictions are the same basic ones that most other developements have and they are easy to live with and are in place to protect your investment and the character of any neighborhood against those that do not feel they are accountable nor have any sense of responsibility to maintain their property.

I would suggest if you are planning on buying in a developement with restrictions that you review them before buying to make sure you can live with them because as mentioned in a previous post, some H.O.A.s are VERY restrictive.

To address some negative points made by others about different developements in the area, there is a reason there are several and most of them are different because one size does not fit all. I for one have been very pleased with my decision to make my home in Cameron Farms.

You better be happy with them in Cameron Farms. Those houses are pretty nice. They range from $200k-$1mill. So, I'd expect you to be happy with them.

The good thing about Spring Hill is you have 2 counties in this city. Williamson County is the Northern and typically more 'uppity' side. Maury County is to the South and is a bit more 'country' if you will. But that pertains mostly to those SOUTH of Spring Hill on the Maury side.

You will find you get much MORE house for LESS MONEY by moving into the Maury side, yet you still get to enjoy the niceties of both counties (parks, shops etc of Williamson and Maury, lower taxes and better roads in Maury i.e. Kedron vs. Duplex).

The Rutherford Place/Rutherford Downs neighborhoods are awesome, with sidewalks and best of all no pesky HOA fees/hassles, yet there are no cars on blocks and no trash people around. In fact, when I drive through the neighborhoods that HAVE HOA's, I see more cars in the road and hear about more robberies/break ins than what takes place on the Maury side. And if you're a golfer, there is Kings Creek Golf Club right off of Kedron, only 2 miles from Hwy 396 (Saturn Pkwy).

I have to say that some of the neighborhoods south of Kedron RD. are much nicer and better built than the north side. As far as safe, quit, little neighborhoods I would have to continue to say the same.

busysportsmom and dog i have to say are some excellent spring hill citizens!!(we need more of those)lol but any ways Mr. joseph your comments on cameron farms are disturbing. sure go right ahead and move into newport crossing and be connected to ten different neighborhoods so you can have a thousand cars drive threw like all the other neighborhoods in spring hill.(cambell station n wyngate) And for the people who live in newport crossing,(especially the unfortunate few in the back by cameron farms), cameron farms booted yalls trashy asses out a long time ago when cameron farms didnt connect. cameron farms didnt need all that new traffic and garbage infecting the perfect beautiful cf hood. You might as well have moved to columbia with the distance you have to drive to get out the damn Newport Crossing lol. for anyone moving to spring hill looking for a NICE place to live stick to the original very well developed cameron farms. Its guranteed to please the adults and the kids with its excellent people, minimum traffic, and its lush landscapes!

Daily Horoscope for December 16

Cancer

Today's New Moon in your sixth house reminds you not to neglect your health or general well-being. It's the ideal time to arrange a check-up with your doctor or dentist, or to follow up a medical query. Cancerians love yummy food, and the festive season is hardly the best time to start a diet, but you still might want to monitor your calorie intake.
