I took this route yesterday from orient point to cold spring harbour. I got lost momentarily in Smithtown / Northport when the signs disapeared. It would be useful if the planners could fix this problem.

Wondering if any cyclists have been injured in the area where the route could not be maintained in Smithtown at the cross section of 25 and 25A where the bull is.

It would be nice if there was a map of the route. DOT doesnt list it on their website. Can Newsday or DOT post it somewhere.

bike paths for nassau residents anyone? and with all the complaining people do about the increase in public transit costs, gas prices, and pollution caused by traffic, you'd think it might occur to SOMEONE to make biking more accessable to the commuter... bikes aren't just for Amsterdam people! in some US cities almost 20% of commuters get to work by bike!(ok, it's only one, but think of what that would do for NY's traffic and pollution problems...)
