It's about time that they fear something...they have been treated at sacred cows for far too long. They need to go, and when they do, they need to take their families with them. They need to gain some personal responsibility and take care of the children they brought into the world, and not expect the US to care for them.

Now, how would people feel if this read:

"Biker Gang Fears Raid By Local Authorities" with a byline of "many suspected of various illegal activities including tax evasion and zoning violations."

Would there be as much sympathy.

It is nothing but absolute exploitation by the companies. It's explicit purpose to hire illegals is cheap labor for the elite. The years of willful neglect and incompetence by politicans has done nothing to help. That's both parties. They are unwilling to defend our borders then tell us that we don't have the right to. It's time we took them to task. Write, E-mail them and TELL THEM we want our country back and if they are part of the problem then they will be gone too.

Self-deportaion is a wonderful thing but a roundup by the Feds would be most appreciated. The natives are tired of the tax burden these criminals bring upon us. I'm tired of paying for their medical care and special education.

Personally,I'm tired of being threatened by the invaders.

Government better step up fast or step out of the way.

Good idea, but we must also remember to thank those like Levy and Beedenbender who were willing to work hard and buck the status quo of the boneless policticans in office.

And I'm tired of certain Congressmen such as Luis Guteirrez crying on Lou Dobbs again last night! I'm certain he does receive hate calls and calls telling him to go home. Clearly he doesn't represent the people of the U.S. and can't read the Constitution! If he loves his heritage, MX so much, he can leave his passport here and move there!

I'm so glad most people "get it." I'm so glad more and more states and localities are targeting illegals. These measures are having an impact.
Even though some of these laws may be more bark than bite they send the right message.

so are you gonna do my landscaping for $8/hr? what you don't realize is that as much as you complain that your jobs are being taken away, the jobs that are being done by these day laborers are the jobs that none of you want. instead of complaining all the time why don't you take some time to educate yourself and ask why are they leaving their countries to begin with!

it's not my problem that the countries that they come from don't do anything to help their own. our own country is doing the same thing to US! i'm worried about THAT.

my husband is a landscaper. right now, he has no one working for him. he refuses to hire illegal workers. he pays $12 an hour, with lunch and sometimes breakfast. we have a two high schoolers and one college kid coming home at the end of the month. which will be REALLY great, seeing as we are getting much more business as he advertises that we are american owned, operated, and only employee american citizens or legal help. and you know what? these kids are DYING for work. so don't give me that "jobs you wouldn't do" BS.....that's all it is, BS!

if you have a problem with an illegal worker on your property, don't hire that contractor and turn him in to the county!!!

When little Timmy next door goes around with his lawnmower and ask for $20 to mow your lawn, but Miguel rolls up with a crew of 5 that can do the job for $15 in ten minutes time, YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM.

Most people know why they are leaving their countries. They know they can work here for more money, free medical, free education for the kids, the list goes on. I know people who own a landscaping company and one that does rip outs and everyone they hire is here leagally and they pay taxes. the reason no one will work for the $8 is that the going rate is $12-$15 and all the illegals do it for less. Who do you think is pocketing the difference? Also, why is it our problem why they are leaving their countries, don't we have to worry about our country first?
