1 Imagine: The state where the 'Shot heard 'round the world' is also the place where freedom is 'strangled to death.' . I'll bet the anti-liberty idiots are dancing in the blood of yet-to-die innocents. |

2 Wrong John. Most of us "gun nuts" believe in everyone having their freedom. Personally, I believe that my freedom ends where yours begins. We each have a circle around us where we are sovereign. Out in public, that circle is just around my person. At home, that circle extends to my property line. I have no problems what so ever with you being however you wish so long as you do not inflict your beliefs on me or anyone else. Where do you stand on freedom, John? Do you willingly allow that others have the right to do anything they wish, so long as they harm no one else? Or are you one of those so called "Liberals" Who only allows the freedoms the State says we may have? |

1 I do not expect anything approaching "reason" from him. Most Socialists get vapour lock when someone turns out to be something they can not easily label and dismiss. Because I support the 2nd A, I must be a knuckle dragging reactionary! When I turn around and support gay rights or decriminalization of drugs, suddenly, he is faced with someone who does not fit into his preconceptions. He will probably choose to ignore me and attack you or someone else. If he does reply to me, it will be something totally irrelevant or twisting my statements around into something he is comfortable attacking. Time will tell. |

1 Nope! . No way will I do that. . I have the whole bloody freaking google abyss locked out on all of my computational assets, and for a VERY GOOD REASON: They are working for the U.S. Government. . I check my logs every hour that I'm on the net. . I've caught that miserable piece of crap changing and acquiring new net ranges. . And yes: They are tracking everyone who logs onto the net, where they are, and what they peruse, for 'metric' data. . Laugh if you will, cry if you want. But I keep a tight rein on WHAT my assets are allowed to reveal, and to whom. . |

I had one moron admin on a site I visit freak out and charge me with "doing something!" because he checked the logs and discovered I had accessed the site from over 100 IPs from all over the world. He literally came unglued. Stupidity in action is funny to watch sometimes.

http://www.youtube.com/watch... A three year old male is holding an M16 (.22LR), and has it pointed downrange. His mom standing over him while his dad supervises him firing his first shot. There are many Oscar winning performances at YouTube, and this is one of them. For the people too afraid to visit YouTube, you don't know what you're missing. All kinds of evidence are found there. |

1 In 1998, Massachusetts lawmakers passed what they said was one of the toughest gun control laws in the country. Yet, in the decade since the laws were passed, firearm-related crime has increased dramatically. Gun-related deaths alone have increased by 68%, and gun-related assault injuries have increased by 72%. Emergency room visits due to gun-related assaults have increased by a whopping 222%. |

There are a number of other things of which you might not be aware. . One of them is cookies, and the other is surreptitious logging via cache. . With the cookies, they can track your usage. . With the cache, they can get your machine to log into other sites via embedded redirects. Topix does this all the time. . You may or may not have noticed that when you log into Topix for the first time each day —and if you dumped your cookies and cache priorly— that you'll get a pop-up ad. That happens even if you have 'block pop-ups' selected in your browser. . What's happening there is that Topix has embedded a redirect in its code, and once your machine decodes the HTML it acts upon that and goes to another website. . Additionally, there are other websites embedded, such as to google, adaware, and several others. . When your machine reacts to those, it is also sending its IP address, the time and date of your log-in, along with many other aspects of your computer's OS and version. . That is: If YOU'VE NOT TAKEN ACTION TO PREVENT ALL OF THAT FROM HAPPENING. . google (intentionally not capitalized) collects data from all of those other places as well, and from thence is able to determine WHO you are, where you've been, what you looked at, what you read, what things you clicked on when you were at those other places and builds a dossier on you. . Recently, I caught them trying to install a piece of spyware. My firewall caught that. . Now, I'll suppose that some people here will say: So freaking what? . I'll reply to that with this: If your own life isn't worth protecting, then why even get out of bed in the morning? . Why not just give everyone your bank account number, tell them how much money you have there, what you credit cards number(s) is/are, what you SSN is, where you live, when you come and go, when and where you work, and just every private aspect of your life? . Hell, why not just leave the doors and windows to your house unlocked and open all the time? . Leave you vehicles unlocked and with the keys installed too. . Now, I'll agree that using a TOR router and/or resorting to an anonymous re-routing system have an advantage, especially if you are fearful of tracing attempts by the 'other end' of the connection. . My use of those is reserved for special occasions, such as to prevent discovery otherwise. . Think: If you use a particular method continuously, there is that chance that it will become compromised. Sort of the same thing as using the same pass phrase for all of your security measures. |

I use Zone Alarm, AVG, Spybot S&D and Ad Aware. I have my browser set to not allow 3rd party cookies and only allow cookies from sites I say are okay.
What is your line-up? |
