they served their country and if they need a warm place to go and smoke it should be up to their right as a veteran to do so. after all the post is for its members, not the politics that want to run our lives.

Veterans who fight for our country deserve your respect, not your sarcasm.

The way Algonquin (a critical issue) was handled, is typical of the way they (especialy Levine) have done things, and MORE than enough reason to vote him out - no leadership, no forethought, ignoring the problem for a year, still no public hearing for a year, waiting till the 11th hour, closed meetings, executive sessions for "potential" litigation, exclusion, and treating the residents only as an afterthought, and with absolute disrespect.
I don't know what your particular agenda is, but the residents deserve MUCH better. Vote Anzivino

I'm a veteran and I smoke. I've been deploying off and on since 1990. 13 times. Just got back from Afghanistan in January. I'm from Weymouth, and when I come up on leave I'd like a place to have a beer and smoke a cigarette without freezing my butt off or standing in the rain. Is that too much to ask? You get to vote... mind if I smoke?

I gave up cigarettes 16 years ago. But I sure as hell won't tell somebody they have to quit, and in a private club, it's nobody's damn business. The only thing liberals seem to really be liberal about is extracting our money and depriving our rights. I wouldn't expect any different in Cohasset or Hingham.

I'll tell you what; when all the whiners stop driving those gas guzzling SUVs that I can't avoid breathing the fumes from no matter where I hide, I'll feel some sympathy for their pathetic anti smoking cause. Boo hoo.

Having no smoking areas in a city is like having a no pissing section in a swimming pool. Think about it.

I'm with you Patriot, I gave up smoking 26 years ago but i wouldn't deprive anyone who has fought for our freedom the right to light up in a private Veterans building. Lets get real here if the vets don't care why should the liberals who never fought.

Daily Horoscope for December 9

Cancer

Your powers of concentration are finely honed today, enabling you to focus on something to the exclusion of all else. This is just what you need if you're hoping to make a big dent in your workload or you're doing something very fiddly or detailed. But it's important that you know when to stop, otherwise you might get really weary and lose your effectiveness.
