Coffeyville Police: Store Employee Shoots, Kills Man During Robbery

I hope and I pray justice is served...Mr Kennedy took someones like that could have been handled differently.....why could he have not shot him in is leg somewhere below??? when Mr Kennedy was aiming he knew......trust me....plus Mr Kennedy use to be in the millitary he knows the procedures...when he shot to kill Mr Clark and seen him unrsponsive how come he didnt perform CPR how come he didnt even supply pressure to the wound????? theres more to tis story

CPR??? Why?? So he could come back and rob him again tomorrow??

How about, he was scared, in shock, from the beating he took (they story we heard) When you pointa gun at someone, YOU SHOOT TO KILL!!There is always the chance that once you shoot, you won't stop your attacker.

Yes, it could have been handled differently by either or both of them, but it wasn't.

Why didn't he shoot him in the leg or somewhere below? When you intend to kill somone you don't shoot them in the leg.

Once in my life I had a similar experience as Mr Kennedy. I handled it differently and the customer, to my knowledge, is still walking around. Don't think he ever tried that again. I will NOT go into detail or say more as I do not wish to reveal my identity or that person's identity. It happened many, many years ago. The youth had made a bad decision, but because he lived he lived to make better decisions in the future. I know I made the right decisions at the time.

Once in my life I had a similar situation as in the Zimmerman/Treyvon incident. I handled it differently. The youth, who was also about 17 became a productive and law abiding citizen.
I will NOT go into detail or say more as I have no interest in revealing my identity or that person's identity. It happened many, many years ago. I know I made the right decisions and the youth lived to make better decisions as he got older.

Poor Mr. Kennedy is 80 years old and had been pistol whipped...those two factors might have affected his aim. He was probably in a lot of pain and in shock, so now let him perform CPR on the guy that just tried to kill him. Really???

Never know as far as still be alive, but one thing for sure many old men carrier guns or have one handed and people better know if your going to try to rob someone you better think about it.

Fact Terrence was shot while commiting a crime. Fact Mr. Kennedy had a gun pulled on him by Terrence. Fact Mr. Kennedy used his gun in self defense while someone was trying to rob him. Anything else is irrelevant. Buttom line Mr. Kennedy has a right to defend himself. Fact everyone I know and everyone you know would have done the exact same thing. Fact the only reason your making excuses for Terrence's actions is because you can't come to grips with the the FACT that he was a criminal commiting a crime. Fact Mr. Kennedy went to war for this country. Fact Mr. Kennedy has been an upstanding buisness owner in this community for decades. Fact you are making this into something it wasn't. Fact is Terrence died making a very bad decision and things went horrably wrong. Fact but Mr. Kennedy being threated with a gun that could have taken his life did what any of us would have did, he defended himself. Fact I knew Terrence and I liked talking with Terrence and Kamisha. But Terrence was the one who made the decision to commit a crime and hold an old man at gun point. QUESTION. If Terrence would have killed the old man would you even be upset?

The fact is it could have been avoided if the robber had woke up this morning and decided to go to work or do something productive, instead he chose to harm someone and to steal from someone. It's understandable that the family is upset but they are upset with the wrong person. Perhaps you would be more correct to be upset that your relative didn't make another choice with his life. SOmetimes you can't take back the wrong choice and this is one of those times. Kennedy did nothing wrong....Clark did and he paid for it. People should learn from this and realize that crime doesn't pay unless it's with your freedom and or your life. It's sad for both sides but the fault lies with the one that chose to create this situation in the first place. The one that woke up this morning and decided to break the law instead of going to work and doing something positive with his life.
