You could always have the paper mailed to your house, they can't make any money with a free web site. Leana and Beckey you live in Coffeyville go buy it.

Jim - I have no interest or desire to waste my money on the coffeyville journal.. If you would have taken a minute and followed the blog, a gentlemen by the name of will davies started this topic by asking where he could locate it online and I was merely being polite and responding to him letting him know that it was no longer being offered online.. So, please, follow the conversation before so rudely responding.. Have a nice day

If you want to know what is going on in Coffeyville go buy an Indep Reporter. That is the only paper worth paying for in the Montg. County

yes, Echo.. You are correct.. You know what I really find funny is that stinken paper doesn't even keep up on BIG topics that go on around that town.. Like, for instance, the charging of Chris Lowrance, recent not guilty plea that the judge heard from him.. the setting of a trial.. all that stuff.. The journal didnt cover any of that.. How is that for your local newspaper?

How is that for your local newspaper? January 31, 2008 Coffeyville Journal, small article on front and back page. They DID have something on that Lowrance creep. Shows you dont pay attention.

Leana, Thank you for letting those of us that use to read the C'ville paper online know that it will no longer be available. I grew up in Coffeyville and enjoyed keeping up with the local news miles away. Coffeyville is not the same town that I grew up in but it is still great to keep informed about what is going on is southeast Kansas. Thank you.

I feel that the Cofeyville Journal has taken a step back in time. I think that technology has been cast away by the Journal. Living with military and being with military, the Journal has done a diservice to our troops that our all over the world, not only in Iraq and Afghanistan. These soldiers so far from home wanting just a little bit from home, reading the paper, gives them hope to arrive back to their roots to see their families and friends is sad. In this day of technology, every newspaper in America should allow those not living in the community anymore for whatever reasons, but still have fond memories of home to access it by the net. Maybe then, those who have left could still be aware of their town that brought them such good memories, could give back to this community and help revive the all but a ghost town, Coffeyville, Kansas. Bring jobs back, bring hope back and the Journal should want a better, bigger, brighter Coffeyville.

The Indep.Reporter doesn't even have a website and will probably never have one! The owner might lose a buck! People have offered to do if for him for free and he won't do it! There has to be a way to make money or the other newspapers wouldn't have websites. If the Journal was smart they would update everything, including the news, and they could give the Reporter great competition. One of the main writers at the Reporter has been hired by the Journal so maybe there is hope. The Reporters loss, believe me! Even The Montgomery County Chronicle is soon to have a website! Come on, you guys, get with the New Age!!!

The last entry in Wikipedia under Coffeyville is about the flood. lacking an actual newspaper on the web, perhaps the regular people in the area could report on what's going on instead. i don't know why you want to know anyway...just so you can have more to bash on? i've seen you on lots of other discussion forums, and you are NOTHING but negative. since you hate kansas so much, why do you care to keep up with us? anyone thinking i'm being unfair or rude to this man should just look for things he says about us on other topics.
