I'm missing my mini dachshund, black with brown, almost two years old, intact male.

Has a camouflage green collar with Doc Newby rabies tag and city tag.

Lost by Union and Wilcox area. Been gone a couple of days now. I've called Warner's and Alter's, as well as city police.

Anyone seen him?

Please contact me.

Thank you.

I'm sure to get that.

I understand how some people are, but I figured I'd use whatever resources I could to try to locate him.

My nieces just adore him and would be heartbroken if anything were to happen to him.(So would I, he's a sweet little guy who got out of my yard and is lost!)

His name is Oscar.

He is probably in someones house after they picked him up thinking he was a stray. If they would just let him out he might get back home. I wish people would stop picking up dogs like that. They are smart enough to find their way home. They are not lost unless you pick them up and remove him from his neighborhood.

Why would anyone think the dog was a stray if it was wearing 2 ID tags?

Some lady on another thread said there's a giant killer bird preying on small pets in North Coffeyville. She herself saw the killer bird carry off a full grown cat into the night sky.

Please people guard your precious pets! There's a killer bird on the loose!

I'm so glad you are able to laugh about this.

For some people, pets are like members of the family.

Oscar is my pet, and my sweet baby boy; he brings joy to my life and I've been quite upset about his disappearance.

He was a gift from my sister and her little girls love him very much.

"Yapping dogs" and "alley cats" may be "cycle of life" to some folks, but to others, they are therapy for depression, loneliness, and anxiety.

I find it hard to believe how callous some people in this community are.

Meli, don't let "them" get to you, some people just have no class nor compassion.
I am sure Oscar will turn up.

My sons where playing football in a yard close to north park. last weekend around 7:30pm they all came running into the house screaming and yelling about giving me a heart attack on what they just saw. some little dog was fighting and being attacked by a rather super large blackhawk bird. and trying to get way . I was in disbelief and ran outside to see or at least find what they were talking about.
But only to find nothing of their story to be true or find the dog anywhere around. there were several neighbors and close bystanders how-ever that did see the same thing as my boys and their friends.
that can also back up their story to be true.
Being that we rent the place we are living at.
we can not have pets of our own.
I know there are people in our neighborhood with small animals that are in danger now because of this happening to their pets as well.

How do you answer a question to a 4 year old.
why a bird that big took off with small dog and why the bird went after the dog in the first place ?
It's unheard of in our area.
Is their a law protecting our rights to defend our pets in this town from things like this happening to them ?

While in Pfister Park up on the hill, I have heard owl calls come from the wooded areas. The owl call goes like this: "who-cooks-for-you who-cooks-for-yoooouuuuuu! ". This call is made by Barred Owls. So I know for a fact that there are predatory owls in North Coffeyville because I've heard them on various occasions.
