I'm not convinced he did anything wrong. Or rather 'what' he did wrong. Do we really believe he had his penis out in front of hundreds of people? There is information missing. Rape? I'm not convinced. Fondled or groped more likely.

Rape is defined by Florida Law as oral, anal, or vaginal penetration by, or union with, the sexual organ of another, or oral, anal, or vaginal penetration by an another with any object. Sarah, your skepticism is charming, given that there is photographic evidence on his cell phone. Please don't procreate. No one wants you for a mother.

Still doesn't prove anything just because it's on his phone. If they are just nude photos of the kid it means little. If it's his penis and the the kid in the same photo that's a bit different.

Massachusetts Senate candidate Martha Coakley stubbornly refused to indict a cop who all but admitted to raping a 23-month old baby – his niece – with a hot object – probably a curling iron – until the baby’s mother applied to file criminal charges against the rapist herself.
Democrat Coakley is running to replace the late, bloated drunkard Ted Kennedy in the US Senate. Her opponent in the January 19th special election is Scott Brown, who could use everyone’s financial help in defeating the rapist-coddling health-care-debacle-supporting Coakley.
What’s worse is that Coakley fought to keep the baby rapist free on his own recognizance after reluctantly indicting him. He only went to jail after Coakley’s successor got him convicted – two years later.
The Winfield case began Oct. 13, 2005, after a day when Winfield and his wife were baby sitting their niece, along with their own two children.
That afternoon, when the toddler’s grandmother stopped by to pick her up, she found the toddler crying, and the child refused to walk. After taking the toddler home, the grandmother changed her diaper and noticed what she could only conclude was a severe diaper rash, according to a narrative of the case detailed in court documents.
I’ll spare you the gruesome details of the baby’s injuries. They’re in the original article if you care to click through. Suffice it to say that the burns continued to worsen.
The toddler ultimately spent a month at Shriners Hospital for Children in Boston recovering from burns.
Three weeks after the rape, on Nov. 7, Winfield gave his interview to Melrose detectives, saying he was alone with the toddler for about an hour on the day of the crime. He also said,“I would have never, ever, ever, ever wanted to take on another child,’’ a statement that was later used by prosecutors at trial to show that Winfield’s commitment to care for his niece was an intolerable burden and, therefore, a motivation to harm her.
The following January, after neither Melrose police nor Coakley’s office had taken any public action against Winfield, Frisoli wrote to an assistant district attorney saying that he and the toddler’s mother planned to pursue charges on their own.
Still, Coakley continued to inexplicably hold the rapist’s hand through the process.
Coakley’s office contacted Frisoli and assured him that the case would go before a grand jury. Yet, months later, after presenting testimony, Coakley’s office decided that “additional time was needed to determine the legal sufficiency of the evidence’’ and did not ask the grand jury to take action.
At that point Frisoli applied for criminal complaints against Coakley’s favored rapist. Coakley brought the evidence to another grand jury, apparently reluctantly.
In late July, that grand jury issued the two rape and two assault and battery indictments against Winfield and, on Aug. 1, the day the hearing on the applications for criminal complaints was to have taken place, Winfield was arraigned and released on personal recognizance.
Coakley said that her office did not ask for a dangerousness hearing – a proceeding in which prosecutors may request pretrial incarceration by arguing that the accused presents a danger to the community – because Winfield did not show any sign of being a repeat offender or sexual predator. It would take another 15 months and a new district attorney, Gerard T. Leone Jr., before Winfield was convicted and sentenced to prison. Crazy old coot RON from Mascot is a convicted felon. Objective is not synonymous with skeptical. The facts state that there is photographic evidence of a child being raped. You are not clear on the definition of rape. And, based on your comments, it's okay with you if someone violates a child as long as he didn't "have his penis out" in front of hundreds of people." Tha you would write that you're "not convinced he did anything wrong" is a sad reflection of who you are. Now, that may not be completely objective, but it is based on your stated opinions. Opinions that are, by the way, heartless and sick.

I appreciate the fairer comments on this forum however: The accused man may be guilty of something but... The accused is not convicted of anything but some of you are calling him a 'predator'. What if the Police made an embarrassing mistake and had to admit they lied (they VERY commonly do Lie especially in cases of this nature; they MUST do so to keep their recognition up regardless of all the countless victims they permanently harm especially in that part of your Country). The vast majority of cases like these are knowingly saturated with common Police & media misrepresentations/Lies. That IS your program in America. We here in the rest of the World KNOW this. Those who support such hysteria in these cases should be sitting right with the accused man in jail! Shame on you sickos -you know who you are! Shame on you for attempting 'power' from a accused/helpless man we yet know nothing about! The accused man probably wouldn't have YOUR sicko thoughts! Soon hysterically out of control American people will finally get a clue and commit illegal violence against YOU hysterics, and those mentally unhealthy people who mistakingly support you!
