Profile of Capt. Colleen Shipman - AM New York

I guess I am wondering how Colleen wrecked Bill's life, too. My take on the story is that Lisa and Bill were playing hide the salami behind their respective spouses' backs. They did what all people in affairs do: promised to leave so they could be together. Only one made good on that promise, and it wasn't Lisa. Lisa only decided to separate from her husband after Colleen came into the picture. Once she had competition, she decided to get a divorce. Too little too late.

As for all these people who claim Colleen engaged in illegal behavior, prove it. The media has been able to dig up nothing on her, so it sounds like Lisa's camp trying to play "blame the victim." Or one person pretending to be multiple people. Lisa did what countless married men who cheat do...made empty promises to leave but always found a reason to stay in a "miserable" marriage....we have kids, we have a house, the dog will be upset, etc. That is, until the affair person found someone he or she could actually spend the rest of their lives with and only then do they act.

Would people be so sympathetic if Lisa was a two-timing man who decided to kill a single rival? Nope, didn't think so.

I guess these people qualify as ASTRONUTS? Now we know why the IST gyro-stabilizer burns out: the space station rocks hard. Isn't it time we heard from the gay rocket guys?

Colleen said that she has been to Houston many times to see the unnamed boyfriend. But I read that Bill had been sent to Norfolk, VA after being dismissed from NASA. Is anyone certain that these two are even together?

Did you guys see the pics at Yahoo Images of Lisa and Colleen in court today. Good lord, Lisa puts Colleen to shame in the looks department. WHAT was Bill O thinking? Lisa is a babe.

Colleen has very thin lips and big nose.

Because Shipman is a commissioned officer in the Air Force, her having an affair with a married man is an illegality. In the civilian world it is cause for embarrassment. In the military, it can spell the end of an officer's career and--in worst-case scenarios--a dishonorable discharge.

Military officers can be and have been prosecuted in such cases.

Oefelein's Navy career is toast. If he's lucky, he'll be able to retire with a reduction in rank.

Nowak is in the same predicament; the extramarital affair is serious enough, but the attack on Shipman subjects her to military penalties that could include prison and dishonorable discharge.

Shipman's conduct could easily get her a career-ending reprimand, if not a general or dishonorable discharge.

Bill was divorced long before he met Colleen, so she's safe. It's his relationship with Lisa that might get him into trouble under the UCMJ because she was married throughout their affair.

Lisa IS much more attractive than Colleen. Colleen COULD look better if she got her nose done and maybe wore more makeup.
She's very mousy looking.

Shipman's says she is only afraid of Nowak when she is in Orlando but not afraid when in Nowak's home in Houston. Sounds like Shipman is using this to keep Oefelein feeling sorry for her. She is playing the damsel in distress and trying to get everything she can out of it. In the statement she gave the police it sounded like she was constantly having to have reassurances from Oefelein that he was not still in a relationship with Nowak. If you ask me Shipman is the jealous one here. It's understandable though...look at this woman she looks like a witch. My guess Oefelein is the only man that has ever paid her any attention. How many more astronauts did she try to put the make on before finally lucking out? She is probably the joke in the male astronaut locker room. By her silly e-mails (especially only knowing Oefelein for a couple weeks) and police statement (Bill called me Lisa while we were in bed) she is not only butt ugly but an air head too. Oefelein is only doing what dishonest men like him do.

Shipman looks like she could bite a ten penny nail in half. Anyone that looks like her surly wouldn't cower in a corner in fear of her life. In case anyone wonders, nope an astronaut doesn't have to have 2020 vision. Some of them are as blind as a bat. It's obvious Oefelein is. The only way Shipman is holding on to him is constant ego building every time he gets up enough nerve to take a hike. I'd be afraid of her too buddy. As the old saying goes, put a bag over their head and you don't lose your last meal. I wish him the best, he is gonna need it if he gets stuck with this woman.

Lynda from PA (Isn't Colleen a Penn State graduate, hmmm...) Anyway, don't be insulting, I was just being honest in my assessment of their looks. Should I lie?

By the way, the judge made his decision on the hearing. He ruled that Lisa Nowak could get the monitoring device removed.

Nope, I know her and she is just as ugly in person as she is in pictures.

Perhaps, just perhaps we should all focus on our own lives and not those that the media present us with as celebrities. Just a thought; how dare anyone on this blog present an opinion on Coleen’s nose or a comment on Lisa’s body without posting a picture for millions of people, in the security of their online name, to view for comment? Perhaps Capt Nowak brought this on herself. In my opinion, she did, but, that is simply my opinion. Coleen, Capt shipman, did not. That is not my opinion, that is a fact. That does not give any of you the right to judge how they look. Perhaps you may judge how they acted, but until you people put pictures up of yourself, leave the blogging to what happened. Oh, and get the facts right; as was pointed out earlier, Capt Shipman did NOT date a married man, she dated a divorced Space Ranger.

yea,that shipman she is a sweetie,goes around sleeping with married men with childrenwho already have a girlfriend on the side,if she had any common sense she would have stayed away from that situation and there never would have been this embarressing mess for all of them,There all a bunch of trash ,and NASA needs to take out the garbage as there are plenty of up and coming willing good astronat prospects more than willing to fill the three of thems shoes who will keep there noses clean.

Shipman is ugly. Ugly women are willing to do more in bed because they know if they don't, they will never be able to keep the guy. He certainly isn't proud to have a dog like her on his arm. It is all about what she is willing to do between the sheets, as is evidenced by the emails.
