Most human beings are disgustingly predictable, but not in the racist sense you suggest. This is a whole lot of crap!

Scott wrote: <quoted text> As a juvenile, he isn't eligible for the death penalty, so he might end up rotting in jail but not death row. Too young for the DP, but not too young to kill. Where did he learn this? This goes to prove that with guns in the house, a law abiding citizen becomes a criminal mass murderer. I hate to say this for fear of sounding like a broken record everytime a massacre happens, but I think it's time to disarm the population, after the criminals, and the cops. Guns are for 1 purpose only and that is to kill, period.

Let us know RIGHT away, Ok! Be it a knife, car or a gun ... PEOPLE KILL PEOPLE and no "LAW" can ever change that.

i know nick wrote: nick was a friend of mine at dulaney, he was just as any other kid... he was also funny, he used to make jokes, and respected everyone...his father was a good person also, nick was disciplined well, and he was also in my math class, he was a smart student, the teacher and him were also good with each other, they talked about sports..he was as good as you can think. but its a question that cant be answered... why did he do it? This community grieves for the Browning family and it is very sad for this reason: Nick had been thinking about doing this for quite a while. He also knew there was a gun to use and where it was. It's not like someone hit a switch, Nick lost his mind and committed the murders, then hit the switch back again. He is a calculated murderer. It is one thing to hold a loaded gun to someone, it is another thing to actually pull the trigger. And he went through this four separate times. He had time to think about what he did before hand and then hung out with a friend for a couple of days to think about it afterwards. Gun advocates have to understand that it is cold, convenient, and effortless to kill with a gun instead of a knife or baseball bat. This is the frustration we feel about gun control.

Jimmy Durante wrote: <quoted text> Don'ts Ya Know Bob? Negros doesn't kill their own families. Negros just kills everybody elses families. Ouchie! But on a serious note, there does definitely seem to be racial differences to crime patterns. Of course the "white-type" crimes - chopping up the family with an ax - gunning down your classmates in mass - could hardly be called "more virtuos" than the run-of-the-mill "negro-type" crime.

This is the frustration we feel about gun control. Frustration is fine. We all feel it. Stripping liberties affirmed by our forefathers is another matter. You can't trick history by passing impotent laws. People who desire to kill will kill no matter what. If this boy didn't do it with a gun, he'd have done it some other way. He was bent on killing. I live near the recent Lane Bryant shooting. A case where the women were defenseless. Gun sure might've helped out the 5 murdered women. Now we have a murderer running around. I'm loaded up here, in case he decides to drop by and threaten my family.

I'm also sorry to say this but I wonder if Nick enjoyed those shoot-em-up violent movies or graphically violent video games. We can't get rid of guns and we can't get rid of the media's promotion of this form of entertainment.

I know Nick and he has a good head on his shoulders. Ironically, he is responsible for partially removing his his family's heads from their shoulders. Go figure.

Do you think our Forefathers had any thought how violent our country has become since 1776? Look, I believe in gun ownership too but gosh all these massacres are becoming too common and too frequent.

Look, I believe in gun ownership too but gosh all these massacres are becoming too common and too frequent. The problem is NOT GUNS. The PROBLEM is: 1) The Media - ie., movies, songs, video games that display, glorify and profit from violence. Don't sue gunmakers, sue Hollywood and Playstation. 2) A Failed justice system - ie., parole for career criminals and slap-on-the-wrist sentences. Abolishment of the death penalty. 3) Secular society. Now that Religion has officially become "the R word", people, especially kids, have nothing to believe in. The void is filled by crap. And as the saying goes ... crap in, crap out. 4) Lack of parenting.

The problem isn't guns or "secular society" Out in New England (New Hampshire, Vermont, etc.) we have lots and lots of guns and not much religion - and there's not much gun violence to be found up here at all. Now you Holy-Rollers out in Colorado are a completely different story - always shootin' the place up. I blame it on your crazy Religiosity.
