Latinos look for answers: Arcadia mayor's immigration proposals...

Kudos for the mayor-------I think its about time that our leaders stand up for the Americans views not the Hispanic view.
They keep demanding everything, they will end up with nothing. If you read comments on these types of issues, Americans don't like how Hispanics come her and start demanding things. But our leaders are scared to say anything, soon these leaders won't have to worry because they will be out on there xxxes.

"We took their land" Whatever, that's been going on for centuries and is a flimsy excuse to argue against establishment. Should we go back 400 years and try to fix every wrong? Live in the now, not the past.

I welcome anyone to our country that wants to follow simple rules, which benefit everyone. I despise the fact that we have Spanish speaking translators at the DMV, so people that can’t read our English roads signs can get driver licenses. That sounds real safe.

I think what the mayor of Arcadia is doing the right thing with the latino population. I live in this area and have applied to ashley and they turned me down by saying (we do not have a position suitable for you and your file will be permanently closed) They would rather hire a mexican or a mong that cannot speak or understand english very well what is the reasoning behind that? These people come up here illegally and take our jobs and help keep the minimum wage down because they are willing to work for less money. If these people are here legally that is fine but if not, ship them back and if they are caught here again illegally they should put them in jail... COME ON PEOPLE THIS IS THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA NOT THE UNITED STATES OF MEXICO!!!!!

well i used to live in that area and have heard alot of bad things about the mexicans who choose to live around there. now where i live and wrk also has alot of mexicans and as told to me by one of them.....they dont need to be citizens here to get good jobs, they only need to reside here. and....they choose to come here ....we didnt go to mexico why should we have to learn spanish????

I am a college Graduate. One of the rules for this country is You speak English,,,, Did you get that speak english like our forefathers did.. We as a nation we are made up of Imported Forefathers... Do this country proud Learn our Language I agree take the spanish signs out.. We dont speak Italian Gaelic German or any other Language ... Get over it learn to speak English

People of Arcadia shouldn't worry about the numbers of them how they look on the street they should worrie about the DRUGS that may sound like a steriotype but i Have Seen them bring it in to Arcadia and heard lots about them bringing it in i BLAME PRESIDENT BUSH LAZY JUST WANTS TO PLAY GOLF

Most illegals would choose to be here legally if our immigration policies were fair. Why should it take 10 years for a Mexican to get permission to bring a family member to America? Why do we have extremely low immigration guidelines/limits for Mexico, but generous guidelines/limits for European countries?

My great-grandfather came here from Poland and it took relatively few hours to get through the formalities on Ellis Island.

As for the language, the first generation always has trouble with the language. That's natural. In the past, each community formed social clubs or other groups to help each other learn the ways of the new country. That needs to happen again, but it won't as long as we provide interpreters and print everything in multiple languages. Some assistance is good, but too much takes away the incentive to learn the language.

Besides its not the Mexicans we need to worry about. There are others who would come here illegally to do us real harm.
