I am so happy that this family has had his "remains" returned. After all these years of waiting there are so many more families that still have no answer. God Bless them all.
I wore a POW bracelet until it broke in half in the 70's, for a LT James Whitemore. I still think of him and wonder if he has ever been found. Those of us who lived through the war during our teen years watching the carnage every night on the news, are still affected by it, I believe. Here it is 40 some years later, and there are still families with no answer... may the good work of these organizations help the answers to finally come for all. |
