Our Roads

Why do we hear year aftrer year that our roads can not be repaired? If you are on the main roads then you need not worry, but for the rest of us our dirt roads go untouched for a year or more at a time. We must corss over large pot holes, we never get gravel or even the holes filled on the paved roads. I have went as far as I can in Charleston to get things done but Jeff Lilly over rides everything in Raleigh County. We do not get plowed in the winter time and we don't get repairs in the summer time. Nick Rahall and Ron Thompson will not even return phone calls about any of this. They want to keep building newer roads but I say fix the ones we have first. I would run for office to get things changed but I don't have the money they have, I can't lie to the public like they do and most of all, I am not willing to say yes when I know the answer is no, like they do. Well let me know what you think Coal City or any where else that is having this same problem.

THAT IS THE TRUTH! I have flattend 2 tires on the road behind the coal city post office.. It's not a main road. Its beaver coal. and they wont do nothing either!! its awful!! I grew up past the club and every year they seem to be patching the main road.. well wouldnt it make sense to re-do the WHOLE road to prevent returning every year to patch!
