No I said I need solid proof to believe in religion, there is no solid proof to the questions you asked me. Every intelligent person knows that we have no idea how the Earth was made, or how human beings came to be. I never said I knew how the Earth or human beings where made, no one does, if we knew we would not be having this conversation right now.

At the time I believed I was being called by God but I was very young at the time, early 20's to be exact. There where just so many questions that the Bible didn't answer, but things like science, history, and abstract thought do answer. I was not running from what I thought was the calling of God, and this wasn't happening over night, it was over several years. You say you have yet to see a valid argument that's because you don't want to see. a valid argument, I know I was just like you at one time. Everyone says its peaceful when you have God in your heart, but its not. There was a restlessness that ate away at me seeking the truth, and when I found it, it made things a lot easier.
You say it's the truth. How do you know it is the truth that when you die, you are just dead? Has anyone ever came back from the dead to tell you? That belief that you have that when you die that it's over, that is called faith. You cannot prove that when you die, you just stay there. As far as I know, no one has come back to tell us either man.

I'm not out of luck, I just will choose to throw that story into the fiction category. There is no true way to tell how the Earth was formed, its a question that likely will never have a scientific answer that makes since. Again as for the question about human's, there is no solid proof of how it happened. Your asking me questions that you know there is no answer to to try to make me look foolish, but it's not working. However basic logic can tell you that if a book is talking about a grown talking to a burning bush, a guy being swallowed whole by a humongous fish and being spat out three days later alive is like something out of a Brothers Grimm story, and nobody worships them.
Not everything in the Bible is meant to be taking literally.

Every intelligent person knows that ......Genesis 1 tells where the world came from and man...

Once again to go around this same tree....intelligence and logic in human form do not work with an all knowing, all powerful God...
Just say for the sake of this conversation that there IS a God...powerful enough to speak light out of darkness...form the world with his words...pull man out of the dust of the earth...could he not logically put a man in the belly of a whale or big fish for 3 days? A God so powerful that he created all the animals in one day, called for grass and trees..land and seas...so powerful that he could feed 5,000 men by logically multiplying a small lunch?

You can not subscribe human logic and things that we are capable of doing to Almighty God...it doesn't work...that is basic theology...or the study of God...not even from just a christian world view...That is the point of the accounts in the Bible is to show you that their is no other God like Jehovah! He is the only true and living God capable of the impossible!

All other religions are based on teachings of gods and teachers that are dead and profess that..but Christianity is based on the living God and risen Savior..but it takes faith, not human understanding or logic...

IF no intellifent person knows how these things happened, and no proof is hard core in hand...than how can you say that GOD DIDN'T DO IT?

What is your hard proof that when we die, it just ends...you are willing to believe this....with out proof? Then why can't you consider that God is by faith?

Maybe this is the right question? What did you pray for and GOd not do for you that makes you bitter towards him that you now confess there is no GOD?

To die is to be no more, there is nothing after death, just like there is nothing before birth. Nothing in the Bible is to be taken literally, for you to pick and chose what is to be taken seriously in the Bible contradicts your very religion. For me to believe that if God is powerful enough to put a man in the belly of a whale, first requires me to believe in God, and I can't get over that step. No that its any of your business but I prayed for proof, proof that I wasn't a fool for basing my life on a book, and no he didn't provide. That's what it comes down to, it's a book that has been taken far to literally. I'll go to the grave feeling the same.

at least you have the conviction to believe what you believe...i do not pick and choose what to believe...i believe all the bible...as it is written to portrait a loving God who made a relationship with me possible...it has given me faith, and freed me to believe and enjoy my life as well....

I hope that you continue to enjoy your life...i have not forced you to comment or forced you to change your belief...i have expressed my belief...i have not attacked you for yours, and would like the same...

faith is believing in things unseen. i cannot see the wind but i know it exists because i can see its effect, just as i cannot see God, but i know he exists because i can see his effects. love for one another. if we were only "here" and were bodies composed of elements, we wouldn't feel sadness during tragedies such as if a child is killed/abused. we'd just say "oh toss him on the compost pile"

You don't need faith to believe in the wind because you can physically feel the wind, you know it's there it proves itself. God on the other hand you can't see, or physically feel him. I didn't fall for any tricks, I fell for the truth. If the day comes I stand before God Almighty then there won't be any need in calling him a myth, but until you can give me proof that God created the Universe than I'm going to have to say I don't think so.
Still away...and in quietness claim what Satan is trying to steal. Anchor yourself to your blessing because he cannot steal your soul. It is your blessing. It is your promise. It is your own! The Holy Ghost...is that wind within your soul!
