Clovis man gets 18 years on sex charge

Good! Castration should really be the punishment but 18 years in protective custody will do.

While I fully agree with the sentence, something boggles my mind. Please don't slam me for the following.
The child is ten years old which is way to young to be subjected to sexual touching and so on. The perpetrator will wind up gone for up to 18 years. His victim is alive and hopefully going to fully recover from the event.
Someone killing another in alot of cases gets out after around 6 years, while the victim cannot recover from death.
Is that Justice?
