My grandparents are Willam and Bessie Bradley they are buried in the Convers Cemetry. We think that George and Ellen Powell are close to them. This would be pawpaw sister and her husband. They could be the graves that are in the fenced in plot with tall head stone.

McCombs surname: I have information that William and Arrina Junia_______ McCombs were buried in Clifton Cemetery. I would love any help as I was told my great grandmother's name was Irene, and some census report show Irene and William McCombs. their dates of birth and death are as follows: William McCombs b.1808 -1810 in NC, d.Jan 15 1892 in Clifton Spartanburg
Arrina McCombs b 1815-1817 SC, d. Jan 20 1892 Clifton, Spartanburg SC. In looking at the list that was on the internet I found several relatives , 2 children McCombs and another great grandmother Mae Zimmerman all buried there. |
||||
|
I also have looked at my list and I can't find William or Arrina. My list is probably the same list that you have looked at that was published on the internet by Sptbg. cemetery archives. We are in the process of cleaning this old cemetery and when it is finished we hope to be able to put the grave in the order that you would see them when you come in and go out.
Thanks, Kaye Kesler |

My g-grandfather started a little community close to Clifton called CooperTown and there is a road today still called Coopertown Road. I know he had a general store sort of but was not allowed to deliver to the mill--anyone who has connections, I would love to talk with you.
