I hope people don't forget that it was not Paterson who caused this recession. This man was Given a Job in a hard spot and has kept our state from suffering the same problems that CA has. He also said he was open for a discussion on Marijuana Legalization. 15,000 Dead in Mexico within just the past 2 years due to the failed war on Pot, we need more politicians with common sense and an open mind.

I agree with Don if he is elected again im leaving NYS to. All he wants to do is charge us New Yorkers for more money and honestly New York is already expensive enough to live in.

That blind bastard signed into law a requirement to WEAR lifejackets in kayaks. Why? So the DEC officers have yet another reason to pull you over and fine you so they have money for new boats and new SUV's, and 4wheelers, as if they don't have enough toys already.
Who's freakin idea was it to make lifejackets law? The lifejacket company? There have been absolutely NO incidents of kayakers dying. Even Alaska does NOT have this law. That's what albany has been doing -not healthcare, not tort reform, not job creation. Life jacket law.

People have drowned while kayaking. Making it a law to wear a lifejacket was the lawmakers way of saving a life. As is the seatbelt law. I am not saying it is right. As an adult I do agree you have the right to choose. A child however is a different story.

yet it's still ok to stick a knife in a toaster or walk in a thunderstorm, or not wear a rubber with sex. Bull. It's not the governments job to protect people from theirselves.(unless they are a nut job) And its CERTAINLY not the governments job to pass laws for the sole purpose of producing revenue or to generate a right to detain, opening the door to search and seize.

IF they really cared about your safety...they would force us all to wear Helmets while driving in cars...think of how many lives it would save...right>.. laws are all about saving lives right??? BS...it's all about taking some money and freedom from you...as long as it doesn't inconvenience them. Lawyers and politicians will take Good hair over safety any day :) So you never have to worry about that law being passed.

Ya. It sucks. The bill was introduced by Assemblyman Englebright, ans Senator A. Thompson. Ones from Buffalo and the other from Long Island. It sure does feel like they are doing favors for the $200 life jacket company, like Orca Gear in Troy, run By Cecelia Domingos, or god knows who else. Prolly a relative. There is no other concievable reason this would become law.

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Cancer

Mercury turning retro is offering you the chance to make sweeping and long-lasting changes to your life, and to clear the ground for some fertile growth in 2010. Lawyers and legal matters, debates, contract negotiations, partnership or other alliances, and joint ventures of any kind need attention. As a Cancerian you don't like endings, but you must now bring an end to any situation or relationship that is holding you back or has passed its sell-by date. Look forward, not back, if you want a glittering future.
