I have to agree with the results. For thin crust pizza, Mario's hands down. Regular pie, Neil's makes them great and for Sicilian pie, Bruno's rules! Any of the three offer something special.
One place I remember was Dannie's in Garfield on Passaic Street. They made a great Sicilian pie too.
There is an art to producing a quality food product, unlike the fast food pizza franchises, you know the difference between quick & cheap vs gourmet.

Mario's has been my favorite all my life, and I've lived in Clifton nearly 59 years. Although, lately, other pizzerias have proven themselves to match Mario's. Angelo's on Market Street is excellent. My son's favorite is Giovanni's on Clifton Ave; I must admit they're style of pizza is great too. My wife loves Tuscany's (in Styertowne), but overall, Mario's still rates as my favorite. I used to go to Pizza Hut in Clifton, but they're gone. Although it was never my favorite, I did occasionally enjoy their pizzas.

Mario's i probably the best of round type pies. Emma's pie is fantastic.!Village,Angelo's and Bruno's all are great Sicilian pie places and all offer a wide variety. When it comes to Pizza as it is with so many things CLIFTON RULES!!!! So all you CLIFTONITES stand up and take a bow! That's why the magazine named you one of the top cities in the USA to raise a family. Second best in New Jersey. You must be doing alot of things right. Hats off to all in charge.

I just tried that place called Taste of Tuscany and I have to admit I liked it alot. They have a nice variety of different pies...personally I liked the White Pizza. I do agree with the previous poster who said Rose Pizza in Garfield was one of the best.

Best pizza? The Famous Midtown Grill in Clifton. They make a special pie with feta and kasseri cheese with olives and dates as well as and laxano gemista (stuffed cabbage).
