oh yeah, sounds like a great idea!! Then EVERYONE would be out of work. google BACKBONE RIDGE WINDFARM in tucker county or BEECH RIDGE WINDFARM in greenbrier county(both in wva) Invenergy is the company that is building them both and also looking at highland county. These people do not care about us or our forest land. I love the picture of backbone with a wind mill in the backyard of the brown house.

I am a citizen of Highland County. The issue here for me is not the wind farm. The issue is the land owner's right. I know that most of you won't agree. However, I wanted to build a deck onto the front of my house. I own my house. Building and zoning said that I lived too close to the road but I could apply for a variance for $100. But the catch was that my neighbors would get to vote on my variance so if joeblow beside me or down the road or where ever didn't like me or just plain didn't want me to have a deck on the front of my house and voted no then I didn't get it. So I didn't pay the $100 and I didn't put the deck on the front of my house, I just replaced what I already had, this was ok, just no additions to it without the variance. My point being...I own my land and I own my house and I pay my property taxes, therefore, why couldn't I just buy a building permit and build my deck without my neighbors having to know and approve of my building business? So, with that said...this man owns his land and I as a land owner feel that he should be able to do as he pleases on his own land. I know that there are people that are going to come back at me with ignorant remarks but again do you want to be told what you can and can't do with your own property?(as long as you aren't breaking the law) Think very carefully before you respond because if you are honest, YOU DON'T. No one does.

Daily Horoscope for December 16

Scorpio

If you're concerned about finding the cash for what usually turns out be an expensive month, the New Moon is the time to start on a budget or some other financial strategy. Try talking to an expert during the coming fortnight, or simply decide to cut down on your expenses. Don't spend so much on presents this year.
