This is really quite sad! The state is so quick to take two boys from this mans custody because he made a mistake! Why is he not out on bail? Why are we spending tax payers money to jail someone who looks to only have mental health problems, his wife died and his kids are in bad shape! Of course he is going to have problems!
Sure, the Ft Lauderdale, Police Chief's wife shoots up a house and trys to kill the Police Chief and gets bail at a "special hearing" but this POOR man (literally and financially; otherwise he would be free in our system) is still in jail! How fair is that????

There are times when even people who have made bad choices see the immediate consequences to themselves (or those they care somewhat for) and those events are painful. I'm guessing that it was easier in some psychological way to do the panic attack thing than face square on the pain of the moment. The guy sounds human, including the weird and broken part of being human. His mommy never taught him, apparently, that decisions have consequences.

He better not play with Judge Bristol, she will take your kids in a heartbeat, without a second blink. This parent should be doing EVERYthing in his power to clean up his act and provide a stable environment for these poor boys. Hopefully the family will step up to the plate, before they get in the state's hands for real, and then, good luck in that Reunification process. If your not serious about the millions of tasks they assign you and don't do them within their year time frame, get ready for the famous "termination of parental rights", she loves that. We've experienced her first hand.
You shouldn't need a judge to give you a freakin check list of how to be a parent, and if you do you better follow it. Sounds like this judge is doing her job and you are just bitter because you could not get you act together. Are you an addict?

Is this how you speak, Sandra? Or, should I say, "Is this how's you speaks, Sandras?" Go back to elementary school and learn the English language.

I agree with you. those poor kids should be with their father; hopefully they have grandparents, aunts uncles to take care of those kids. If those kids go to fostercare they'll be abused, shuffled from home to home. He obviously has problems, but, taking the kids and putting him in jail doesn't solve them.

The fate of these kids is 100% the fathers fault.
Hopefully there are family that will do it. I feel so sorry for those kids. This man needs help. I don't think jail is the answer.

The children will be better off in foster care and hopefully go to a family with values and wind up being adopted and have a chance at a good life.

Dude, that's like comparing apples with oranges. First, the police chief in Ft. Lauderdale was not the shooter, although he may have been running around on his wife, he didn't fake his own kidnapping, get arrested for assault and battery, etc. and no one is trying to place any children with either him or his neurotic wife. We have a different standard, understandably, when it comes to the placement of children. Hope you get it?

Maybe a reflection of their upbringing, but not their fault and definitely not stupid.
Haven't those whom use the word "stupid" learn it from their own families stupidly? Razor; well do they?

Daily Horoscope for December 9

Leo

You're really on the ball today so there's no danger of anyone tricking you or fobbing you off with lame excuses. If you suspect that a loved one is hiding something from you, you'll want to question them in a lot of detail. That's all very well but try not to turn it into the third degree, nor to make them feel hounded or bullied by your desire to know what's going on.
