Two Habitat homes for two families
“After that, our goal to get more people lined up for 2009”
CLEARLAKE New homes, new neighbors, a fresh start. That is what two Clearlake families got Saturday when the keys were officially handed over at a Habitat for Humanity ribbon cutting and open house celebration. via Record-Bee

Hate to be rude ,...but.
1. 37th ave.???!! not a great neighborhood. Makes me think that HFH had a quota to spend. 2. I hope this particular "Conaster" isn't related to the known Clearlake Conaster's - otherwise YAY Habitat for Humanity! You just sponsored a meth house! |

Im familiar with both the groups of people who moved into the 37th ave houses. And There are far more people who fit this program. Great comments Jimmy, You tell no lies!

Is this from a lack of background check by HFH?
|
|

Heard that a guy that is involved with HFH fell off his roof and hired guys with no licenses and all that jazz. Seems that one of them has hired an attorney, how embarrassing.

Yes kids come first no matter what.....IF there are kids in the home....and if there is things happening illegally oooh yea they will be in BIG TROUBLE with the GOV
|
Well , yes i am , one family in particular, who's "gift" to soceity is that of a few generations drain on the welfare system , drug use and sales, violence, etc. It's their family tradition, why should that change? |

ok so you must know of this family well....but who's busines is it telling what there past is like...i am sure someone had to do a back ground check on them and if they did and things that are illegal then they will be brought to justice..... jus not at your "perfect time"....well i wonder whould u say this to the family face to face....hummm????

I am the executive director and would like to clarify this comment. The person that fell off his roof was actually a Habitat board member. He was not working on a Habitat for Humanity home when he fell, he was working on his personal residence. |

1 1. Habitat does thorough criminal background checks on final applicants by a professional company that checks every state the applicant has lived in. There are no perfect families, but we are doing all we can to improve the selection process and do not accept families who are involved with illegal drugs in any form. We also require all Construction managers to have workers' compensation. |

wow u pin pointed your self...i never said "YOU"...have a good day Jimmy! |
1. I'm not IN Texas , newbie. That's just an IP location, i can appear to be anywhere. 2. let's get this straight. YES! I'm the one who brought up a meth issue , but i never said this new HFH house was a meth house, i simply brought up about the one families KNOWN dope history. 3. How do i know all this? I'm a lifelong Clearlake resident - i've been in the area longer than most, prolly longer than anyone that posts in here, and i know about more people than anyone in here - i even have firsthand witness of people in clearlake connected with meth who you would NOT believe who i know about! I'll leave them alone, cause they're nice people that never did any bad to me, plus , i'm sure it would damage a fine rep they have established (clue). 4. Btw- your spelling and grammar are atrocious... |
|
Ok , look. See another comment in here by someone else who is unknown to me - they agree and obviously know a certain family as well. All i'm saying is, This one family in particular, is WELL known in Clearlake,..that's all , plain and simple. Btw- you don't have to read too much into this ,..it's just the internet. LOL! |

|

Sounds like "Jimmy" isn't trying to prove anything just giving an opinion. Don't hate cause y'all have your opinions too. One thing jimmy is right about , it's the internet. CHILL OUT PEOPLE! haha!

For someone who really dont give a F, you sure have A strong feeling on this story! Might I ask where you have worked with these kids and what do they have potential at? Just an honest question. You should be proud to tell just where you have worked with them at and the potential they possess. Because this could be a whole other family than the ones that have moved into the habitat house. Who ever the family is, they had to work on not only their house but many hours on other houses for the HFH.Im sure that the director of the program had a good chance to get to know the folks that move into these houses. However They diddnt get their whole family picture in the paper as past HFH families have..Maybe thats a clue.
