I believe if a man in a dark wooded area is threatening the life of anyone, especially a police officer, he would have been shot or brought down by other "forceful" means. With this said, I believe the charge related to this particular incident, is bogus.

The reporter said that the suspect was already arrested when he made those threats. In other words he was probably not armed at the time and in handcuffs. Shooting him would probably not be a good thing at that point. So other than that, how do you come to the conclusion that the troopers charged this guy with a bogus charge?

The police may have had to zealously defend themselves and the charges would "cover their butt,"

OK so you think he made those threats AFTER he was handcuffed? Well then why did they have to use pepper spray and mace and put him face down with a boot on his neck, if he didn't pose a threat at that point. This article does not give those details but the TV News sure painted a beautiful picture.

The news always paints a beautiful picture, of themselves anyway. But that is a different debate. The fact of the matter is it doesn't seem like any of us were there. Even if we knew someone there, we will never know the full story. With that said, someone who is handcuffed is not always completely secured and can still cause harm to people. Maybe or maybe not enough for a deadly force issue but enough to warrant significant force. Depending on the guys size, intoxication, etc....

It is real easy for all you people to guess and make assumptions, try being there when he was being arrested, or any other prisoner, see how cooperative they are then, not , second guess the police, or spread "rumors" if you all are so down on the police, when you need help!!!!!!!! call a prisoner

Judging the character of the average Pa. State Trooper especially in Centre County they probably deserved to get their assess kicked. When they allow a piece of s**t like a Shawn Inlow on the force they're getting exactly what they deserve.

Oh really? You must be very young and naive. Well ask him what he did to a young girl, a minor, when he was in his twenties and see how sporting and fair he is then.

Better yet ask him if the weight of his own guilt for sexually assaulting this minor is what motivated him to fabricate and trump up sexual assault charges against a few young men in Philipsburg, ruining their lives while he got away with rape. How he ever became a Pa state trooper is beyond me. What say you now britsoccer?

In light of recent events surrounding this case between the parties involved I recant and have requested topix that my statements be removed from the record to no avail.
This case is a tragedy and a fiasco. I'm so thankful I don't reside in that area anymore.

Any time you run from the police- you deserve every single bullet you catch because you just endangered the general public with your actions because now they have to chase you.
However I won't hold my breath to expect anyone that participates in gangster culture to understand that there is someone else on the planet besides their ignorant ass so act accordingly...
Let nature take its' course and let's clean up this stinky gene pool with natural selection.
