Son of Clearfield County Victim Witness Coordinator Judy Shirey Makes Threats

Clearfield (APee)- Some may call it creating job security for his mother, Clearfield County Victim-Witness Coordinator Judy Shirey, but others may call it a crime. Shirey's son, Kyle A. Shirey, was accused of making terroistic threats over the internet to individuals accusing his mother's office of unethical and potentially illegal behavior.

According to reports, Kyle Shirey posted threats on a website on October 28, 2009, while posting the initials of the intended recipient of his threat. Text from the message read "I want you to live your (life) as a mystery...day by day, constantly looking over your shoulder and wondering, what might today bring? I even have the backing of several state trooopers who believe you need a good ole' fashioned ass whooping...so watch out!"

Judy Shirey's Victim Witness office has been criticized lately for using harrassing and harsh tactics to pressure individuals to change or enhance statements and evidence to assist the District Attorney's office with prosecutions. One such individual claimed she "felt more like a criminal than the victim of a crime," and added she would be afraid to report a true crime after the way she was treated by Mrs. Shirey. In a recorded internet interview, Mrs. Shirey has claimed she has a great relationship with District Attorney Bill Shaw, and if he needs anything from her all he needs to do is ask. However, some have claimed Shaw's requests to harrass and taunt alleged victims of crime to say what Shaw wants to hear has gone too far, and violates ethical rules and legal statutes.

Kyle Shirey's posts to the internet went on to defend the actions of his mother's office. "My mother runs one of the finest victim witness programs in the entire state so the comments about her better stop or you WILL suffer the consequences..mark my fucking word!!!" However, some in this small community 120 miles Northeast of Pittsburgh have a different opinion.

When reached for comment, the intended recipient of Shirey's threats said "This whole thing shows the true character of the people we are dealing with, and it's a shame. I believe the concept of a victim-witness office is a good one, as there are true victims of crimes that need the assistance of individuals to comfort them through the legal process. However, when the office is being abused in an attempt to precipitate false information to satisfy the agenda of a corrupt District Attorney, we as a community have a problem. I would hope that representatives from this office step forward and admit this error in judgement."

He added, "It's ironic that in the process of trying to uncover a crime, I become a victim of one. Anyone know a good victim-witness coordinator, I may need one."

Again Judy, it's up to you to right a wrong. You harrassed a family, and you know what you did was wrong.

The problems and the corruption will NOT go away with a delete key. Do the right thing.

The following was a phone discussion overheard between the County Victim Witness Coordinator and the area's state representative, that took place last Thursday.

Judy: Hi Bud, now that the election is over and the state budget is passed, I was calling to see how you were coming with the $50,000 grant you promised you would get my office.
Bud: What grant?
Judy: You know, the one you promised you would get me if we harrassed Walker's girlfriend and one of Tony Scotto's restaurant goers.
Bud: Well you weren't able to deliver on either.
Judy: Well I tried, Bud, I have Kathleen Ferry afraid of her own shadow, she said even if she were raped she wouldn't go to authorities. That's some pretty good work on my part.
Bud: What happened with Scotto, I thought you were going to be able to talk the woman that choked on a piece of ham from one of his antipasta salads into filing attempted murder charges.
Judy: I tried Bud, but I had a hard time convincing her it was Scotto's fault, and not the ham's fault.
Bud: That *******(race sensitive commented edited for your enjoyment) won the f***in race. You were supposed to deliver.
Judy: Well I did my best, it's not my fault these people aren't buying what I'm selling. Anyway, you were able to get Bill Shaw to do to Walker what you wanted done anyway, you didn't even need me.
Bud: Yea but Scotto won. You didn't do your job.
Judy: My job is to help victims of crimes, and I have a hard time believing these people are true victims. Now, could you get me the $50,000 so I can help real victims?
Bud: I'll call The Progress to set up a photo opportunity, my picture wasn't in last night's paper so I'm due to have one in there.
Judy: I don't think that's a good idea.
Bud: Well then you don't getta-no money.
Judy: I just think that people are catching on to what's happening, and I don't think it's a good idea we go around parading this grant money.
Bud: Honey, I could be caught in bed with a live boy or a dead girl and people will still vote for me. I'm calling The Progress
Judy: Fine, Bud, but don't expect me to do these favors for you in the future.
Bud: Come to my office, we will talk about it in person.
Judy: I'm the victim/witness coordinator, and I'd rather not become one of my own clients.
Bud: What's that supposed to mean?
Judy: That strangling incident, now there's a true victim.
Bud:(Evil Laugh) The people keep voting for me honey, now just do as I tell you and and I'll let you keep your job.
Judy: I'm on it, I've got to go, another Shaw victim needs silenced. These victims just won't shut up!

Hey Judy, when are you going to harrass Stacy Parks to file aggrevated assault charges against Bill Shaw. Oh wait, you dont need to harrass her, she already wants to! It's Paul Cherry that didn't file charges to save his own a*s*s.

I'm saying Mrs. Judy Shirey did something ethically and potentially legally wrong. It was initially believed that she was doing this at the direction of others and was just following orders, but new information reveals she knew going in that what she was doing was wrong and potentially illegal. Ask Judy, I'm sure she'll tell you about it.
