if our drivers would slow down and enjoy life instead of rushing, i believe there would be less tragic accidents like this one.

You don't even know Ashley Jordan. The roads were wet and here in Fentress County that means someone is going to get hurt. Maybe if our road supervisor was doing his job, instead of posing in the local paper looking like a Beverly Hillbilly, we might be able to save more young lives.

How do you know I didn't know her? I knew one of the others in the accident, too! Besides, that road is a state road not county.

Ok what do you know about Ashley Jordan?

And if Butch Blevins isn't supposed to fix that road then what roads is he supposed to fix? Cause I do not see ANY improvements he has made on the roads around here. There are dips, dives, and sudden drops throughout our road systems and it would really be nice if who ever is in charge would please put up a stop light at the four-way crossing of White Oak and 127. It doesn't matter how many times this is mention to the local officials, they just can't find time to get it done. I don't know who is SUPPOSED to be in charge of this stuff by they need to get the ball rolling.

to the The Librarian:
instead of crying on some web sit about someone not doing anything about the roads in Fentress, why not just go to a county meeting and cry to them

Thats what I said the roads were wet. I have gone to the meetings and when it is brought up they say they will look into the finances. There are never enough finances to keep us safe. And I was personally attacking the first person because they were trying to say Ashley was going too fast. Trying to put sole blame on her. That was not the case it was raining and the vehicle hydro-planed and came into Jamie's path. Then, Jamie's Vehicle struck Asley's and the rest is history. I hate hearing people speak ill of the dead. Especially blaming they when the true cause lies in things that could have and should have been changed.

The way I see it noone was placing the blame on Ashley. Wasn't there two cars involved?

I apprediate the fact that you all are concerned about Ashley's wreck. She was loved by many people. I have heard there were other wrecks on that corner. Something sure should be done. But you must understand there were more contributing factors than the rain and the road. I do not blame anyone or any one cause. If I felt the blame was the county or state officials, then we would have done something about it being a safety issue. Does it matter? It will not bring Ashley back. Let her rest in peace. Ashley had a very positive attitude in life. Don't mess up her memory by making angry jestures. Do something positive about it. It is your community.
I would like to thank whoever it was that put the beautiful cross on the side of the road for her. Last Friday, 75 days after my daughter died, I finally could bring myself to visit the site where my baby died. At this time, her cross is there, helping to protect people from overdriving that corner. Maybe her cross being there, reminding people that someone died there, will keep it safe until you all can help do something to correct the problem perminently.
Thank you all for your concern.
