Earlier this summer I heard them at my neighbors house blowing the Horn several times and then just last week I was inside my house with my front door WIDE OPEN and heard someone Blowing their Horn over and over until i walked 10 feet from my front porch to find the Mailman sitting with a package for me! Ive got some packages from UPS and Fedex and none of them EVER Blow their Horn and always leave my package on the porch. I dont have a dog or any animals and my yard is kept neat and clean with NO Fence either! I just dont get it! are they that LAZY???

The questions should be why are you that lazy, and why would someone blowing their horn in the middle of the day bother you that much? I appreciate the carriers not leaving packages just anywhere to be carried off by dogs or by thieves. Fedx and UPS also blow their horns in our area -sounds like people just trying to do their jobs. If they throw your package out the window as they are driving by, then you have something complain about - you are being too picky .....Why do some people go out of their way to find fault with everything?

Talked to Nashville Post office this morning about their job description. They told me that the USPS Mail Carrier is SUPPOSE to come and knock on the Door to deliver packages! As far as Blowing Horns to Get People to Come to their Car is LAZY! SO your saying UPS and FED EX just BLOW their HORN until someone comes out????? Thats BS

I said you were being too picky, if all you had to complain about was the mail carrier blowing their horn (twice this summer). UPS and FedEx do blow their horns in our area (usually as they turn in the driveway) and if no one comes out they leave the packages at the door or at the gate. Think for a minute about the amount of items delivered daily by a mail carrier compared to the others. I might get a delivery from UPS or FedEx twice a month, but the mail carriers deliver to every residence and business in the area 6 days a week. You should apologize for complaining about such a small matter and calling them lazy.

What if you pay to have flowers delivered to someone, would you like for them to BLOW THE HORN till the person came outside to get them??? And if they are over run with work then thats a problem they should cry to their boss. Since you Say that Fed ex and UPS dont deliver as much then Why the Hell are they out after 5pm and sometimes at 8pm in our area??? And by the Way FED EX doesn't Pull into any driveway for They are Required to Back into to Driveways so they have a clear view when pulling out. I know this by experience for im a former Fed Ex driver thats Retired.

I'm saying when any of the delivery people blow their horn, it isn't because they are lazy, it is because they are giving the people a chance to come out so they don't have to leave a package out in the weather, or out where someone might steal it. I appreciate the extra effort and time it takes to make sure the deliveries are safe. If I'm not home, then all three USPS, UPS, and FedEX leave it at the garage door. If it is something that might not need to be left unattended, then the USPS and UPS will leave a note giving you notice they tried to deliver a package. They are trying to do their job, and any of them tapping their horn should not set you off!

You mentioned Weather and Theft ? well when we got all of that rain a couple weeks ago this Mail Person wrapped a Walmart bag over a package and left it hanging on my neighbors Mail box and he has a Garage car port so there goes your theory of making sure the packages are Safe and Sound! Like I said these people are LAZY!

This is my last post on this thread, because you are just wanting to argue. Consider this: Your mail carrier gets out and approaches your WIDE OPEN door with your package and is attacked by a vicious dog, leaving the carrier permanently scared and crippled. I bet you would be telling the judge, "If the carrier had blown their horn, I would have come out and got the package, so it's not my fault. So don't hold me libel." The carriers and delivery people are not lazy - they are just trying to do their jobs. If you think having to walk ten feet off your porch to get a package is too inconvenient for you, then you are the lazy one!

This is not a ONE TIME incident, It happens all the time around Clarkrange, Im Not the only one who has experienced this HORN BLOWING and Packages left out in the RAIN with a walmart shopping Bag covering it up while hanging on the Mail Box either. So just Observe what these LAZY people are doing. As far as DOGS I dont have ANY! and as far as Delivery people Blowing their HORN to try to get a Response to see if anyone is Home is RUDE and LAZY, I dont see furiniture stores or Flower shops doing that Practice for they Go to YOUR Front Door and ring the door bell or knock!

Unless you are saying that your box cost so much that you deserve special treatment. Postal Service is supported by price of postage alone what do you spend on postage a year you may pay a water bill for the office at best. UPS and FEDex delver 200 or less stops a day the average route at USPS has 420 stop a day with constraints of making it back so your letters or package will go out that day. Clarkrange closes at 3:30 so this carrier has to do this before the office closes. UPS and FEDex drivers get started at 8 and do not have to make such a rediculous deadline. The carrier should meet you halfway I agree but I have gotten out to deliver before (I used to run a route a few years ago) and was met my a dog that was not the residents and had to kick my way back to car. Blowing horn is a safety measure that we are instructed to do as we pull up for our safety with dogs and children and your privacy. We are suppose to blow horn going around blind curves too. Get used to it sounds like you are not from here. Was Florida nicer?

So you do not mail out from your box it should be vacanted and taken down then. Sounds like carrier is doing something illegal by counting your stop I will address this with the postmaster I am sure he will know who used to spend$$$$$$$ of items a month and monitor mail coming a being mailed. I guess you dont get mail at the curb but in PO box at Grimsley? If you get one letter a year they have your business silly.

Hours Posted at Clarkrange list it being closed on Saturdays at 10am so your saying since my mail isnt delivered till after 12-1 pm on Saturdays that its actually still opened until the carrier gets back that day? Hmmm thats funny because the doors are locked tight after 10am so are they jammed or somthing? You might need to ask the Post master to put oil on the door locks then. No I wasnt born or raised in Fla for Im native to this County. So do you have something against Fla Ppl as well? Get your Facts Straight Before you post lies.

I stopped at Clarkrange Po the other day and it was 2.55 pm I had a package that I forgot to mail out to japan so I walked in and said i need to ship this out today they said they had already closed down their computer and couldnt , I said the hours posted says 3pm and your window is still open, they said again we are already closed down on the computer. I said Fine so I left. I then stopped and got some gas in clarkrange and headed towards home to jamestown and thought well i will try grimsley PO so now its 325pm and they close at 330 so I went in and said I need to mail this package they kindly said ok and proceeded in mailing it out. I asked if they shut down their computer before the window closed and she said she didnt till way after the door was locked sometimes and if she was still in there which she was most of the time past 430 to just knock and she would still mail my package out. Now this is What I call Service to the People. So if you need something mailed out Use Grimsley PO . Also notice the time Clakrange Closes on Saturday which is 10am. Grimsley closes at NOON Thats even better!

I just wanna make two points...I've lived here for quite a few years now....and I for one have never been honked at by a mailperson and when I've had packages shipped to me....the usps/ fed ex/ ups delivery person NEVER backed in my driveway. So I don't know which part of clarkrange you live in. But I don't live but maybe a mile from the post office. Not trying to argue. Just adding my experiences with the mail/ delivery people.

You must live on the West side of Clarkrange Post office where your mail is delivered out of Monterey TN? Just come to other parts of Clarkrange and See what the mail person does.

If the mailman honks, take your fat a@@ outside and see what he/she has brought you. Truth be told, everyone should have to pay a subscription fee to have mail delivered, otherwise drive to post office and get it. You run and ebay store? Selling what??? All you seem to run is your mouth which drips more than your a@@ with diarrhea. I doubt you ever drove for FedEx, or even sorted packages there. I think you have to pass an IQ test and since you cannot spell IQ I am guessing you would not pass it either.
