What happens when an amish hits a car ?

In the first place, the Amish should not be on the roads! They do not pull over for you or anything and here they go pulling out infront of someone. They think they own the roads they do not pay for!! If you hit them you pay--if they do this to you they get nothing! Why do we have to pay for insurance to use any road but yet they do not?

I think its a cover up, I see the amish taking rides from people all the time, they need to pay like everyone else. or get the hell off the roads

Here we have a clear cut case of failure to yield right of way, operating a vehicle without a license, and operating an unregistered vehicle that has no insurance.

But... because the vehicle is sans motor, it gets a by on all that. The driver of the buggy will be treated like a child whose wagon was knocked over by an adult.

To the question "What happens when an Amish hits a car" That's actually very rare, it's hard to hit a motor vehicle when you can only go 5 miles an hour. No, buggies are just rolling coffins waiting to be hit by people in cars that have a momentary lapse in attention.

But if a CAR hits a buggy... and kills one of the totally unprotected and unrestrained occupants... the driver will be prosecuted without mercy.

So if you drive where the Amish are... be prepared to be full bore, white knuckle concentrating on the road ahead. These things are dark, make no noise, and come out of nowhere.

Get these death traps off the road.
