Woman killed by Metrolink train identified

Officials have released the name of the woman who was struck and killed by an eastbound Metrolink train Wednesday in Claremont.

how sad that nobody has anything to say about this; don't people care about the elderly anymore? does she have family? did she live alone? nobody can post on here what a nice person she was? how sad...:(

there are other threads on this that have comments. as far as i know of yet the woman's name has not been released, so those whom knew her might not yet know.

Tragedy, plain and simple. I have to wonder how did she make her way to the tracks without any assistance or supervision. Either way its a sad story.

Collission? If she was Superman, you could call it a collission---I've seen the aftermath of these things & even with the train slowing, it looked like strawberry jello in a pressure cooker. Sounds like suicide;

Joe and Yup: Unless they are suffering from dementia, most people in that age range are perfectly capable of moving around in public on their own and are far from being on their respective ways out.
