Over This wrote: I find many of these posts interesting. To touch on few: OCSO does not "patrol" dsiney property - you must never have been stopped by a sheriff to get a speeding ticket. It's happened to many, many CM's I know (as well as a few guests). It's not written on Mickey Mouse letterhead - it's an actual ticket, and it gets paid to Orange County, not Reedy Creek. Back in the day, yes, you would never see OCSO on Disney property. Those times have changed, and even though you may not always "see" them, trust me, they are there. Disney is "responsible" for negligence - how was the ride operator supposed to predict that a verbal altercation would escalate into a physical attack? Words are often exchanged for various reasons (a stroller keeps bumping into you while you are walking, parents won't take a crying child outside because they don't want to miss the show/attraction)- but does a verbal assault need to lead to physical violence? That is where free will comes into play, and I would expect ADULTS to have more common sense than that (or am I asking to much?). And to post #153 - who called 911 about a "minor incident" in a restaurant..... WHY would you call 911 about a MINOR incident? 911 is for when there are TRUE emergencies - potential loss of life. Unless someone was choking at the restaurant or it was on fire - why else would you call 911? I'm tired of people not stepping up and accepting responsibility for their own actions. It all goes back to the McDonalds coffee suit. The fact that a person WON money from a corporation because SHE ordered HOT cofee which then spilled on her (and it's not like an employee spilled it on her - she did it herself!).... it boggles the mind. The minor incident was a car broken into while dining at the Swan. I did not feel like dialing 411 to find out which department to call as at the time I did not now what city to ask for, hence, I called 911.

Disney will lose! Security was no where in sight the ENTIRE TIME!
How would you like this to happen to you and have no one there to help?
A big no no in any business that size. I bet 1 million Disney loses, wait and see.

This idiot won't collect a dime. Disney has plenty of security, and plenty of training for their park employees on what to do if they see trouble coming. Here, no sign of trouble coming equals no recovery.

It wouldn't be so important for me to ride that I would get involved in an altercation.

Disney is responsible for their security not helping the Orange County police by taking pictures of the injuries. Also, immediate medical care is their duty as well. Disney security should be everywhere including FantasyLand, they should have no more than a two minute response time to any attraction. They are underground and therefore don't have to fight congestion above ground. Sometimes you have to sue in order to force corporations to do their job. In this case they failed and it is now safe to assume that Disney is not safe place in my opinion. The only lower class person involved here is the criminal. Stop blaming the victim, that in itself is lower class mentality. From a stock holder of Disney.

What a surprise....NOT. In a previous article she stated that she had no intention to sue Disney. She got justice for having her a*s handed to her, now she wants to sue Disney. In my opinion she is a textbook emotional manipulator. I hope Disney has a good lawyer....and they would be WISE to look into medical fraud.

Medical insurance fraud is when your paid for injuries that did not occur or paid twice by different insurance companies for monies you paid out. This however is not the case. Her injuries could have been far less had there been better response time by park security, this is more than likely her claim. I personally do not like their policy of hands off what we call 10-10's. In Illinois we can be sued for not only breaking up a fight but also for our failure in not breaking up fight. It sounds bizzare but that is the way it is. Disney carries liability insurance for this. Once again she is the victim here-not the criminal and I'm sure her settlement will be small. I find it repulsive no one on this blog holds the criminal responsible for her actions which might I remind everyone she committed a felony, not a misdemeaner. Disney has the best lawyers working for them, it's the bad publicity they are more concerned with as they should be.

Good. It's Disney's fault because they are to cheap to have proper crowd control like they use to.I understand Disney is run by a bunch of Jews? Disney has ruined Florida. Like Mel Gibson said"It's the Jews Who Started Every War"??

My wife and I were attacked by 3 Orange County Deputies at Pleasure Island. We did nothing wrong and were not drunk like cops try to make everybody out to be that they abuse. They stopped my wife from getting witnesses. Disney told the courts they could not find any surveillance video's? I worked there and say Disney is lying. There is no way you can get a fair trial because Disney will protect the criminals they employ. Never trust a cop and if you go to Disney make sure you have a video camera. Central Florida is loaded with crooked cops. I can say this because of what happen to my wife and I at Disney and at our home in Dr.Phillips. No lies here folks!

The root of the problem is drastically overweight women who are bitter with a chip on their shoulder lashing out at the world.
Look at the world around you. How many problems are caused by severely overweight women meddling in other people's business?
They lash out at the world because deep down they hate themselves and have a poor self image. Yet they they cannot stop the self destructive behavior of overeating.

Guess your wife shouldn't have married a lil' wuss.

I will not tell you what country I visited, but I remember a so-called guard was assigned to me to help me out each and every daily movement, lol. So, for safety Disney should and must assign a security guard for each visitor even to a tot still in carriage (those tots can be nasty). Furthermore, as a US citizen, this lady has the responsibility to sue, it is patriotic. If you see a pot of gold, don't you want to dig? I sure would.

However, there is some liability that Disney will have to assume and that is their response time and the care given to the victim. I have been to Disney more times than I can remember and I have seen their security lacking year by year. If you read their portfollio you know Disney is covered totally by good insurance. We will not return to Disney again due to their lack of security. The last time I was there a gang fight broke out in front of my daughter and I at the Animal Kingdom. It was early May and the local schools were there- big mistake on my part. My daughter ran for help and I took off toward the altercation. The little bangers were taken off guard. Still no security there. I have since learned my lesson and will not put my children at risk in a place that doesn't put top priority on safety. By the way no security ever showed up, the bangers disbanded in opposite directions.
