Orlando-born actor Wesley Snipes has been ordered to surrender by June 3 to begin serving his three-year prison sentence on misdemeanor tax charges, his lawyer Daniel Meachum revealed in federal documents.

How in the hell is he going to pay the money back if he goes to jail? The US need more taxpayers and less people in jail.

You wonder why it takes $300 a day for each inmate. It should be $3.00. Why do they need cable for? PBJ and ham sandwiches for them. I can understand books. Because I would go crazy too, if I sat around all day without nothing to do. |

Lets see he owes about a couple of million, With penalties and interest the amount is probably double. How is putting this guy in prison going to get us our money back? It wouldnt, probably only ruin our only chance of getting our money is him making a blockbuster movie. I can assure you he has learned his lesson after this whole mess. I happen to be an accountant and have seen first hand the ruin the IRS can do on people and businesses. Pay your taxes on time, take valid deductions, keep good records, especcially if you make any money at all. Putting people in prison is no way to go. We need em out on the street making money. Oh, and by the way how about the 12MM illegals here that pay no taxes, think locking em all up will do any good. No go after the employers and make em file W-2s and verify they can work here in the US. |

there have been killers, sex offenders and felons who have gotten lighter sentences and have not contributed anything back to society. Taxpayers will be paying more for him to go to jail rather than have him pay the money back.
