Police officer accused of running drug houses remains jailed

Road patrol cops are into drug houses, prostitution and protection. That is their racket and always has been.They arrest a few here and there and announce it to the news papers in advance to keep the right wingers happy and in church. The truth is cops are a legal criminal organization. This guy probably threatenes to turn somebody in and was set up!

To say that ALL road patrol cops are into drug houses, prostitution, and protection is ridiculous. If you went to college and had Logic 101, you'd know you are committing a fallacy of hasty generalization. Just because one cop is bad, doesn't make all cops bad.

The truth is, in EVERY job, there are rotten apples. There's always someone who is lured into doing wrong for the cash or thrill or just because.

It just hurts more when it's from a constituency that the public has put their trust in.

Bat Man, you're right and the guy's in for a rough time in the slammer. But then he knew that when he made this decision. They got his wife, too, so I guess it was supposed to be their big retirement plan. Maybe their 401k wasn't paying out the way they wanted it?

I would just like to say that the officer had everyone fooled. Best friends had no clue. They do test their employees for drugs. The cheif has done a lot of good since starting at Altamonte. I feel that if you aren't involved in this somehow you shouldn't speculate. I am involved, not directly, but it affects my famiy.

I'v lost a brother, now I know how Obie-wain-kenobee felt when he lost Anaken Skywalker to the dark side. I new him as an honest and honorable man who saved numerous lives. Unfortuantly he made some very poor and stupid decisions, and he let his addiction take over his mind. It can happen to ANY ONE. Now he will be paying for his poor and stupid decisions for the rest of his life. To all of you who have left such crappy comments remember that no one is above addiction or making bad decisions. When a good person goes bad we all want to shame that person and tell the world how awful he is when we don't know S**T about the individual, only what they tell you in the media. Judge not lest ye be judged.

Shows the intense candidate screening, intense drug testing and mental evaluation of the police candidates and type of person involved with this type of job!

Altamonte Spgs is a great agency to work for. It is not corrupt! If you dont work there, dont make false judgements. You can find that ANY Sheriff dept or Police dept has someone who has made a bad choice. It happens unfortunately. Even with all the hiring test you can give someone. This person made a bad choice and no one ever knew he was capable of such things. So dont judge the department for someones misjudgement

Adams is a bloody d*a*m*n rotton disgrace to the badge and the uniform, to his family and to society as a whole. I would not be surprised if before all of this is concluded that his house, vehicles and other property are all seized due to his having obtained and paid for them illegally through drug money. Whatever arrests, and convictions resulting from those arrests, he has made over the years are all tainted and will probably be reviewed as well. Some of the other officers he was working with had to know something funny was going on. You cannot work closely with someone and not know, or at least have an idea that something wasn't right. Internal Affairs and FDLE should be looking at all of this, and not just at Adams. This is certainly a dark day for the rest of law enforcement. It only takes one or a few to make all look bad.

Thank you for saying what I have wanted to say since this all came out. This is not the Clay and Robyn that I know. We all make bad decisions, unfortunately this one can't be fixed. Clay was always a protector for those he cared about, that's who I know, not the one in the mug shot!
