Mother does not know where Caylee Anthony is, defense attorney ...

Why wouldn't the mother know where her own daughter is? This defense attorney is more worried about his client than the welfare of the little girl...unless he knows that she's dead...which is more than likely the reality.

It has become obvious that Casey is a liar & thief largely due to the enabling of her mother who, to this minute, offers an excuse for every bad choice her daughter makes. It's unfortunate that Caylee is the only victim here since she could not choose who her mother would be.

this is the most bizarre case!!! This link leads to the interview on MSN...this is one wacky family! |

release the mother and have a deputy paid for by the family to go to every possible outlet where the baby could be--monitor every call, every action she does, without leaving her alone for at least 2-3 months to find this baby and go from there--regardless maybe the mother is the only one who can help at this point--why not try?

Getting more bizarre everyday and making me wonder just what is true and what isn't. MOther seems to be making and changing stories as she goes along.

Where is the father of this child??

In response to the first post, the defense attorney is doing his job and attempting to protect his client's constitutional rights. Making derogatory statements about someone under those circumstances is ridiculous.
Whether or not the defense attorney cares or does not care about the child is not as important as whether or not he plays his role properly. His job is not to care about the kid, search for the kid, etc. His job is to defend the mother in a courtroom and make she she receives those rights to which she is constitutionally guaranteed. He's not going to throw a case and screw his client over just because she isn't popular with the general public. Stupid. |

would some sheriff deputy do the right thing and force this whack job to talk? The mother knows the facts. I don't care what form of pressure they put on her. Make her talk! This is really getting to be a circus!

Oh, so Caylee's been missing since June 9 and NOW Mommy wants to go looking for her? Wonder if they'd put some sort of tracking device on her as a condition of release, if she and her attorney would agree to that? Wonder where she'd head to, if she WERE released? I agree with other posters, this case is getting more and more weird by the minute. Not just the mother, but Grandma as well.

I do believe that if he has knowledge of or reason to suspect abuse of a child, he is required by law to report that, as are psychologists, physicians, etc. And perhaps he is interested in ****ing his client |

1 The attorney is just trying to raise as much reasonable doubt as he possibly can for a guilty client since that is their only chance. The attorney doesn't give a rats butt about the missing child, all he cares about is seeing a guilty baby killer walk. |
|
They "say" he has passed away. No other relatives have come forward on the fathers side. Possibly they never knew he had a child. |

This whole story is driving me crazy! I have 3 children (had my first in my early 20's) and if ANY of them are out of my sight for even 5 minutes I panic...but one month-I would be a total basket case! There is NO way I would allow my mother to be on t.v. all the time-we all as a family would be doing everything in our power to locate the child. There is truly more to this story than we know...I am praying for Caylee and hope this family can pull it together and let the truth be told.

There in lies the rub. Sometimes, people are so full of themselves that they lose sight of the bigger picture. None of this is as important as the child's life. Not his license to practice, not his clients rights, nada. The simple answer might be to appoint a guardian ad litum for the daughter. Let HIM go after the lying beeotch for the location of HIS client. Then let her perjure herself, or plead the 5th. But he can get more info than the cops. Where is the department of Children and Familes? |

These are questions I want to know
1. Why would the grandparents hire an attorney for their daughter and therefore no longer be able to be questioned by authorities? 2. The grandmother makes a statment that they arrested her too early; if they release her they can help find her...really; then why couldnt' she find her during the month she never reported anything... 3. The grandmother says that she knows that the mother knows who has her baby...then why doesnt she say something...is the grandmother involved in her scheme also? What's more important releasing her from jail or finding her daughter that she abandoned or won't help find? 4. Lastly the attorney states:"I would love to disclose the reasons. And I'm sure she would. But it certainly creates a disadvantage." Disadvantage for who? only person i see as disadvantaged is Caylee and nobody knows where she is at? 5. Why didn't the grandmother tell the police in the beginning that her daughter received a phone call from Caylee and it was disconnected? 6.Why didn't the grandparents say the biological father died in a car accident; this didn't come out until Caylee's mother's attorney stated it. If this were me and I was the parent and my daughther was arrested because she neglected her child and wouldnt cooperate in telling authorities where she was I would not hire an attorney for her until she told everything she knows; and she hasn't; and since her parents hired an attorney; this only makes it harder because she doesn't have to speak.. |
|
|
It appears that the grandmother is in a state of denial that her daughther possibly could have done something harmful to the child. If I had done something like this my mother would have choked it out of me. The young mother evidently has a problem.

Comment: You're wrong. An attorney is only required to report a client to the authorities if he learns that the client is going to commit a crime either with or without the attorney's advice. An attorney is not obligated to, and is in fact forbidden from, turning his client in if he learns that the client committed a crime in the past. Otherwise, what would be the point of hiring an attorney?

This story is becoming very annoying. Yes, the lawyer is doing his job by protection his client. However, the public doesn't need to know why Casey lied. The information that needs to be brought forward is the truth from Casey's mouth.
1. How long did she know this Gonzalez chick? 2. How often did this woman baby sit Kaylee? 3. How does she know her? 4. Why did she wait to report the child missing? Casey doesn't have to be released from jail to give this information. She should REMAIN in jail for breaking the law and lying to investigators. The grandma is in complete denial. I feel bad for the woman. I heard the father of the child was killed in a car accident last year. |
