crazy man wrecks vehicle/abandons children

A somewhat bizarre chain of events unraveled over the weekend. Saturday night Silas Wayne Fulkerson 46 of Fairfield decided to allow a 9yr old child to sit on his lap and steer the car while he pressed the brake and gas pedal. The other child in the car was 5yrs of age and apparently after crashing at the Five Brothers Restaurant on Fairfield's west side he apparently decided to leave the two young children behind. Both Children were taken to Fairfield Memorial Hospital for treatment of what appeared to be minor injuries. Fulkerson is lodged in the Wayne County Jail on charges of Child Endangerment as well as leaving the scene of a personal injury accident.

If he was in control of the brake and gas pedals, why in the world did he not let off the gas and apply the brakes as soon as she began to steer the car off the road? I have a feeling she was the one driving, completely driving by herself. I don't know, maybe he thought it would sound better if he said he was just letting her steer. The whole thing is bizarre. Who is the mother of these kids who trusted this idiot with her little girls?
She should be investigated as well.

Yes it does make you question all circumstances involving this issue. Any fool that would leave kids for dead needs a mental evaluation or whatever the persons that saw him do this saw fit to do. The mother is somewhat of a bizarre situation and needs examined herself and start raising her kids and not letting Fools like this guy have any contact with them! Hell who knows maybe she's crazy as bat shit herself and needs her kids pulled. Maybe the Father of the Children will come forward and press for custody. I hate anything like this happening to children. If this were my children that man probably wouldn't have made it to jail.
