Just a quote from the article:
"Most of the red snapper you eat in Florida restaurants are caught around Louisiana's oil platforms. We see the Florida-registered boats tied up to them constantly. Sometimes us locals can barely squeeze in. "

Carolyn,

I'm all for solar. Let me ask you: What happens during and after a hurricane when we don't see the sun for a week or two? I've been there and done that (Ike) and my solar panel did nothing for me.

Fortunately, I had an electric car in the garage and could bleed power off it into an inverter to keep communications up (i.e. charging the cell phones, powering the wireless modem for phone and internet and a little TV. Not one amp from the panel, though.

The E-car? gave it away - it was a death trap that nearly killed me three times.

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Sagittarius

You're in a strange mood, Sagittarius. You're feeling impatient and cross, and nothing is quite right. No wonder, with Mercury and Mars retrograde, under a Full Moon lunar eclipse! But is it necessary to be quite so contrary, so determined to do the opposite of what's expected of you? Try to sort out the problem sooner rather than later, then do something energetic and therapeutic so you can burn off your nervous energy. Then you're all set for a great New Year's Eve!
