The way the amendment is written there is no accountability, I doubt our reps even bothered to read it...

Those who think they know what the people wanted and are going by simply the vote tally, had better step back. I, for one, voted No - but I want casinos in Ohio. The reason this Franklin county voter voted No was not that I am against the casinos (I say bring them in) but that I was against the language of and contained in the amendment.

I objected to the fact that only 4 casinos would be allowed, that free enterprise and capitalism were abolished by the amendment and that the State (yes Teddy YOU) blew an opportunity to offer a casino license fee that renewed every five years to be purchased by the highest bidder.

I also objected to the fact the City Center was built on our taxpayer backs and would have made a wonderful casino, yet the "wisdom" of some now want to again use my money to tear it down instead of allowing private money to take it over and restore it!

I voted No but say Yes to all casinos!

This is crap! All of the sudden, elected officials are tinkering with local issues resulting from a statewide ballot. Where was this outrage when the smoking ban passed? Why should districts that voted against the ban be subject to it? Maybe local areas that didn't vote for Obama shouldn't have their electoral college count for Obama! You go down this road and these are the types of issues we'll be dealing with after every election.
Pay attention. Nobody is talking about the sins of gambling, but rather how much money the state can get out of it. What a bunch of pimps.
