I have lived in U.C. for many years. My wife and I just love this warm small town. We are former military, as are most of our neighbors. We live a simple life, the American dream if you will. We are outraged at what has happened to us and God only knows how many other residents here in Universal City. I know from experience that alot of times when you are given a ticket by the police it is very common to read the back of it and just go ahead and pay it. Please let it be known that several U.C. officers are writing tickets based on personal opinion not law.

The Universal City Police Dept. is in my opinion very professional and very well trained. These officer's go to work everyday putting their lives on the line to keep us safe. You never want to see them and then complain when they're not around. Instead of complaining about our protectors we should extend our hand and thank them for their service. These men and women are at war everyday. God bless them. The citizens who complain are the usually first to dial 911.

I got pulled over in Universal City twice.

Once I got pulled over for "not having my seatbelt on" which is false because I had em on but took em off when I pulled my car over. He randomly pulled me over looking for any reason to give me a ticket.$130.
Second time I got pulled over for 'speeding' and another ticket for not pulling over right away. If you ever drove down Pat Booker rd, there are no right shoulder wide enough to pull over so I pull over to the next nearest parking lot and wrote me a citation which cost me $200+.

I think they got mad because I caught them drinking beer while they were in their uniform/squad car and took a picture of their vehicle with my camera phone. hahah. U.C. and Schertz have the laziest cops. They rather give you bogus citations over real crimes like the time my friend had her wallet stolen and someone charged through her credit cards. even with photo id's of the victim shown from the police tape and info, they refused to do anything.

If you speed down Pat Booker or any where else for that matter, you deserve a ticket. I live in UC and I hate the way people drive on Pat Booker. Thank God these Police Officers are doing their job. Personally, I think they should have some one out there 24/7 to give tickets to speeders like you. And if your stupid to get another ticket then they should double your fine....

My daughter had an experience with a Selma City police on IH35. She does not remember his name and can't hardly read his signature on the ticket. I believe it started with an "M". Still young, sort of balding and with braces. Anyone know an officer out there that fits that descripton?

"1000 Percent," you are so freaking ridiculous! You are on the Schertz blog complaining about them and now I see you are on the UC blog complaining as well! It sounds like these cops are out there doing there job by "harassing" stupid idiots like you! Grow up, stop complaining and do what is right and guess what, "You won't have to worry about anything!" And I'm sure you have a pic of them "drinking beer" in their patrol car, god you are soooooooo stupid, "What is this, Superbad Part 2." Do you think that we are supposed to believe some ridiculous bs like that!!! Stay in Houston, you stupid a$$!

I wish the Universal Police Dept, would be out on Pat Booker Road, from 6:45am and 7:30am, too many people speed thru pat booker from poly pet shop to Randolph AFB. I wish i was a police officer would make a killing on tickets..If you speed you should pay for A Huge Ticket.....Food For Thought.

They are to busy sitting on Athenian lookeing for people rolling stop signs at 3 mph, meanwhile people are getting t-boned at the intersection of 1604 and PB when the lights change and and 4-5 cars run the red light at 35+mph. Go figure.

I went to court April 28th to defend my innocence being accused of not stopping at a 3 way stop sign at Villa & North Blvd. I was surprised to find three quarters of the courtroom were there for the same charge by the same officer. We had ample time to confer because we were told to be there at 3:30 pm and the Judge was not due until 5pm. Citizens ticketed varied in age and responsibility. Some worked some retired but none could believe the the proceedings. The officers suggested we go pay $200 immediately and do not pass go. They wanted to help us out because we would have to come back two more times for what they called the pre-trial and then the trial and would not be able to take defensive driving class. Some went for that then the Judge wanted to inform us that if we didn't go ahead right then and pay up we may pay court costs and instead of $200 it could be $400. He persuaded some more to give in but a few of us held out for the act of justice. Tonight is my 2nd trip. I will keep you posted.

Just a word for "COMMON SENSE", it sounds from your post dated March 13,you are very naive. Please try and refrain from calling others such vulgar names as they were openly stating their situation and did not disgise their name. In addition, there are people in this world that abuse their authority and it will feel very different to you when you are victim of them.

I was given a bogus ticket for not stopping at a stop light in front of the white crosswalk line. The cop pulled a hard you turn when he saw me coming down the street in my sports car, he then following me for 200 yards. I already knew he was behind me i know i didn't break any laws. I was simply turning right at a red light.
Well i am still trying to decide, should i just pay the ticket and not miss time from work. Or should i stand up for this injustice and spend 3 more times in court so the guy collecting the money from the crooked cop will just tell me to pay $400. I will never visit my friend in that place again...never have i been so violated. The city should be ashamed of it's police department.

Sad part is he was training another officer!
