I went to Chincoteague once, and will never return because I thought the Billboards were such an eyesore and a desecration to the natural beauty there. I cannot imagine what the locals are thinking in allowing these horrible distractions.

I agree, they are tacky, but that wouldn't stop me from going again.

It's their right to do, the Town of Chincoteague's bread and butter (so they think) is from tourism, therefore THAT is where their priorities lie, even to the end that their own citizens are ignored alot.

I love Chincoteague! I always have. However, the signs leading to the island are indeed a real eyesore!! Tacky would be an improvement. Certainly there must be a better way to familiarize newcomers with the local business establishments without compromising the beauty of the Island that so many folks come to the area to enjoy.

Daily Horoscope for December 10

Virgo

Believe it or not, you'll enjoy doing some domestic shopping today. For a start, it will be an interesting challenge to negotiate your way through the hordes of shoppers without getting mown down by a runaway trolley, and you'll also enjoy seeing what's on offer. Keep an eye open for bargains and be prepared to be flexible about some of the items on your shopping list.
