$1 billion spent without oversight by NM government entities

Full story: Las Cruces Sun-News

At a time when the state of New Mexico is some $400 million or more in the hole and lawmakers are contemplating a wide variety of spending cuts to bring the state budget back into the black, State Auditor Hector Balderas has reported that more than $1 billion in state funds has been spent in recent years without the proper oversight and control.

1 billion dollars spent without our elected officials having any ideas where this money was going? Don't you just love it?

The liberal bleeding hearts need to take note that this is taking place under a Democratic Governor. You remember him, don't you? Mr. Charm, Personality, and I am going to be the next President while I spend, spend and spend some more, Richardson?

The Democrats are losers from beginning to the bitter end of this great nation.

Your only half right!! Dang Republicans give all the money to their cronies in the supposedly war and defense machine which is no better than the bleeding heart dems giving it away to the poor who too many are to lazy to get an education and work they pay no taxes and live a substandard life with no hope. No Matter which way you cut it the people are at fault for allowing such an inept government to exist, heck we Give Mexico a run for their money.

Oh so typical of a Liberal Dumb as Crap run -
bankrupt and always ready to spend more and more
money and then never ever follow up and enforce
the law.

Hasn't Gadsden School District been in trouble
just recently for this and bam here they are
again - last time it was 5 years with no audits
being sent in.

This is gross malfeasance from the Governor on
down. Where is the accountability - oh
that's right they are Dumb as Crabs so there
is no accountability for anything, anytime,
anywhere - just the way they are ...

Unacceptable, inexcusable, UNBELIEVABLE!!!
Richardson is no administrator and the legislature is negligent.

This must be priority number 1 at the next session. If more prisons need built to house these fraudsters and embezzlers, I'm sure the taxpayers would approve a bond. These SOB's have become so brazen it boils my blood!

Unfortunately, their number one priority will be charging the children of New Mexico for their inability to manage finances.

Daily Horoscope for December 15

Virgo

You're in a very sensitive frame of mind today and are acutely aware of what other people are going through. So if someone is having a bad time, you'll want to do what you can to help. However, it's important to accept that you may not be able to do a single thing. If you persist in trying to help, it will be because you're uncomfortable with the situation and want to feel better.
