Honestly what a bunch of crooked rookies. Trick ass indians out ripping the community off and weisers taking care of weisers for halloween. what a rotten joke the little costume parade is! Rewarding ugly barbara miller for arthritis and being a rotten old witch. padding the pockets of local community members who are all half azzed. hello you are ignoring some rule someplace some crap i am sure by allowing employees siblings to win crap. and also by rewarding a whole family several prizes why cuz they will gang you like dogs in the street? disgusting. the one white guy who won sort of deserved to win except for breaking some rule about paint. but all of us there know that tehre was some rip off taking place because all the good costumes lost to crap from walmart. What about fat barbie and the slot machine among others? you ran this thing crooked as hell casino calk-suckers and community sheisters need you azzes kicked.

Isn't Barbra Miller White? I would think that the rules applies employees and there families are UN eligible for certain contest's aren't they?

Yes I have to agree that the contest last night cheated people. You should have seen the one family huddled at the machines knowing they won everything. It left many of us outraged. How were the judges pick? Who were these people? Why did they only pick people to win that were people they knew?
Really a bad foot to put forward in these days of racial tension. I was not a contest of any merit.
My family and friends are starting a boycott.

KlaMoYa is WELL KNOWN for not following their own contest rules. For examples:

*Back in the "Chili cook-off" days, the number one rule was "everything had to be prepared on site." One booth was empty for much of the morning, just prior to judging, a car pulls up, a casino employee and his family unloads their chili (already made) and wins FIRST PLACE! That was the LAST time I entered that crooked contest.

*Frybread cook off, again everything needed to be prepared on site and food safety rules needed to be adhered to. A casino employee showed up late, brought her dough pre-made, licked her fingers then handled food, and she won.

*Last years Halloween contest a couple dressed as vampires had their faces painted (a rule violation) and won in several categories.

*This year, BEST MALE COSTUME had his entire face, neck, and hands painted (A MAJOR RULE VIOLATION) and won the $1,000 dollar grand prize. Also, other "scariest" winners had their entire faces painted and won. The female who won BEST FEMALE COSTUME had a store bought costume that blended in with the crowd. It was definatley wierd.

My thoughts...the costume contest should be limited to Bonus Club Members with at least 3000 points, only one category per contestant, no casino employees or their immediate family are eligible. These are similar to other casinos and their contest rules.

My only hope is that KlaMoYa Management will have a meeting to discuss their integrity when it comes to contests.

Boy did they goof up on this one. Half the county is in uproar over this the final straw. And during bad times for politics! Klamoya is certainly going to miss all the cash flowing in that will stop shortly because everyone is talking boycott!

She was the most beautiful Queen of Hearts I have ever seen and her costume was from K-Mart. Just shows how pretty she is. She won because she acted and didnt stand there and look all mean at everybody like the other one did. So your the wierd one.

I have a 3,6 and 8 year old and so I have been forced to watch alice over and over again.
The queen of hearts is not supposed to be nice or pretty you idiot. If you read the book which chiloquin high used to require in Ms. Mcdonald's class or get forbid watch the movie you will get why everyone was pissed off that mean one didn't win. My kids wanted to take a pic with the mean one because they knew exactly who she was. The so called weird one was really personable and chatted with people throughout the casino. Several other people at machines that were older also wanted pics with her. She def did not do that backward indian bs of smiling and playing mute. I heard 'Off with their heads' all we heard from the other one was..........nothing it just smiled and acted like a prom queen which was really disappointing. Why be a character if you cannot represent that character?

News travels at the speed of write. I googled Klamoya casino and look what popped up. My son and I did take the drive out for the contest. Like everyone else we were very disappointed. How discouraging it is to see obviously american indian judges picking a majority of other american indians for winners. I have defended the klamath people and now have seen when given a chance they will do reverse racism. The purpose of this whole thing was to have fun and see people who are seriously competing for cash prizes. The winners all seemed to violate some rules with face paints; which we were told on the phone could not be worn. We planned to come as mimes. We did not dress up because of the face paint rule. The best male/female portion was a huge let down.
You cold see the effort made with prosthetics in both categories. However, it was clearly an infraction to paint one's self completely red. It was clearly vulgar to reward a mediocre contestant over one that had clearly altered the facial portion of an absolutely stunning costume! This woman had refrained from the white paint that would normally be a defining part of the array. One could definitely recognize the little queen in the absence of white face. The mannerisms and surly facial expressions were spot on. I just want to tell that woman she did a fantastic job and that next year, she should go with full paint! They cannot disqualify for a rule they overlooked repeatedly. I am not defending the klamath people any longer.

I worked my but off on my costume for two weeks. It was original, funny, and in the spirit of halloween. I chose my costume based on the rules, making double sure I followed ALL contest rules. I'm also one of those "indians" that won. I dont feel I won because I'm "Indian." I feel like I won because my costume was FREAKIN' AWESOME! I have been to this contest before and know you have to bring your "A" Game....even more so because the casino does have a history of not following their own rules.

Last year, whites won some big money in this contest. And, come to think of it, I didnt see any Indians starting a boycott about it.

mabee its just me but having a bunch of people in costumes in a casino seems dumb. what if a shotgun got hauled out from under draculas cape and demanded all the money?perhaps several people with guns. you would have to tell the cops dracula did it. they would ask wich one? see what i mean.

These are adults? whining around about dressing up for a contest. I know you have to be 21 to be in the casino, does that mean mentally 21 or what. Was it just because of the $ involved or what? Next dress up time is new years to have a party for dummies to dress up PLEASE

That was very funny, but also it was very true, because these people are obviously "young at heart."

Why are you trying to turn this into a racism thing? right, backing the KT, sounds as if you have been raciest all along by jumping so quickly to claim reverse racism.

that whole shebang was crooked as heck. I helped judge and it was pretty much a game of "DO WE KNOW THEM".Sheet, it even came out to who would this 1000$ help so and so? this thing was not some charity. one of the judges wanted to make all the winners indin. i think it was rugged. i was there as a judge. so chew on that one. the rest of them was just there for their usual games. yeah they were bein racist. like i said i was one with a clipboard.

I agree. Some white folks won the top prize last year & they didnt even have a cool costume or originality. I thought one of the best costumes last year was two ladies that dressed up as two people on a carnival ride. They didnt even get one of the top prizes. They should of though. As for face paint its against the rules & people last year had face paint on & won. People did complain it just wasnt blasted on Topixx.
