I-Team: Small Smiles FORBA Response

Regarding small smiles , I am a dentist who had an interview two years ago with Small Smiles .One of the question that I asked during the interview was how you guys expecting me to treat an apprehensive child ,The answer was very embracing to me .That is how I refused the job offer in spite of the fact that Small Smiles at that time offered me a very generous salary, bonuses and benefits.As much as I blame the dentist who treat Miguel ,I blame also the ADA. Because I have never heard any regulation that may help a dentist to a have a decent income when this dentist work with some companies like Small Smile , Aspen dental, All care & dentures , Affordable dentures,American Dental,.........all these companies and other es have many offices throughout the country and they compensate the dentists that work for them according to how much these dentist can collect from their patients.So these companies deal with a dentist as a sale man the more the dentist produce ,the more the income will be ..........that may sound OK for you .But because the people on the management are very greedy they will push the dentist to overdo or over treat.I myself ,I made my choice to work for a community health center so that I may see these poor medicaid patients.The only shortcoming of that is the very low salary that these community health centers offer.So i hope that the ADA.org anization intervene and help the dentists to get fair income somehow

This is not acceptable at all. The states need to force "corporate dentistry" to be dismantled since it violates the spirit of the laws.
