Any addict or user can change over time, with support from the community, family and friends. Substances change the chemical make up of your brain. But these learned responses, and neurological changes can be reversed. It just takes time and willingness to change. Addicts don't choose that life when they start. No one tries it and says man I want to be a crack head. The Danielle I KNEW cared about herself at one time, and her son.

Well maybe addicts should Start thinking about what drugs do to a body before they start using them. If you use drugs more than likely you are going to do it more than once and you just might end up a CRACK head. If you don't want to be a CRACK head then it's pretty simple don't do Crack ! As far as Dakota is concerned she has never cared for him. Same old song, Kim ( her mother) had her and didn't want her and Kim's parents took her. She had Dakota and didn't want him and her grandparents (Gene and Jean) took him. I have "0" tolerance for druggies. You chose you lose!!

I understand your point of view, and her grandparents are wonderful people. Dakota is lucky to have them. But everyone deserves a chance to change, just as Kim did when she had Olivia and her sister. Studies are starting to show that heredity can factor in addiction. With out positive community and family support it will be harder for them to change. They are people too, and the drugs change how their brain works. I agree that disciplinary action is needed in most cases, but that doesn't mean we give up on them. My daughter lost her father this past year, and things could of been different if more people cared. He made bad decisions on his own! We had been separated for many years, but my daughter lost her father no matter my opinion on him. So many people give up on addicts and helps them have no desire to change. Maybe the community should look out for the entire community more.

I for one am getting tired of paying for druggies addiction. If that's their choice why should tax payers have to pay for their bad choices. Their insurance should pay for it. If they don't have insurance, well then too bad. They should use their drug money to pay for insurance.

Knowing right from wrong..I go to work..Knowing drugs are bad for you..I don't do them..nobody is born to be an addict..it's a choice. If they would spend as much time looking for a job as they do looking for pills..They would all be employed. CHOICES

Danielle has always been about Danielle she has sold and did drugs right in front of those kids since day one..she should never be compared to Kim.

The Danielle that was busted for heroin was listed in the Chillicothe Gazette as being 25 years old. why not try getting your news from a newspaper instead of a gossip site. So too bad.... it's not the one you wished it was, find something else to feed on or try getting a job or life, you people are really pathetic and I feel sorry for you all. Danielle L. Lowery, 25, of 79.5 N. Paint St., was indicted on a possession of heroin charge, a fourth-degree felony. The charge stems from a Nov. 9 search at her home. Lowery allegedly was found in possession of 4.4 grams of heroin
