This is a prime example of a control freak that would rip a baby from it's mother. BTW it is illegal to do so.

I’m confused how do you force an abortion? Or force adoption? Are people just running around with coat hangers now?

Some parents think that they can make their kids have an abortion or force them to give up a baby to adoption. They use tactics like throwing their own kids out if they do not comply. They fool kids into believing that they have no say in the matter.

I’m with the parents on this one if the kid is stupid enough to have premarital sex at a young age and also not use birth control they are not responsible enough to raise a kid. The pregnancy is a mistake the child that was created is a mistake and should not be allowed to exist. I would be willing to change my mind if there were a law forcing children who become pregnant (I mean both parties) to assume adult responsibilities and live in the same domicile in a committed relationship until the newborn was of age or became pregnant itself. And if the new parents were forced to become self-sufficient. Also I think if children knew they would be held accountable and forced to become adults after a while it would cause other children to see that sex(although fun)comes at a cost it would dissuade them from making the same mistake removing the glamor that the modern media has place on teen sex. This type of thing used to be shunned in society having a social stigma placed on the parties involved and their families. When we lost that stigma teenage promiscuity increased and birthrates increased among that demographic.

Teen pregnancy in the "Old Days" wasn't taboo because most girls were married before they were 17 Both parents are legally responsible for the new child. Divergent Trends Since the 1950s, the U.S. teen birthrate has declined while the proprotion of teen births that are nonmarital has increased. So if I understand you correctly, you would force an abortion on a teen, Or force an adoption. Are you sure you have the right to force such things?

These are the doors that have opened because of legalized abortion.
The moral type shotgun weddings were the responsibility fear instilled in young people. But you cannot force a marriage. Law does force financial responsibility.
Teenagers make mistakes every day. Adults do to. We put our kids behind the wheels of cars. We put them in the job market. We access them to the internet. How do we not expect them to do things that will not affect the rest of their lives? Teens are tried as adults in many crime cases now.
It is our responsibility as parents to help our kids understand that some actions have lifelong results.
Just as adults get help when times are tough, Our kids may need more help through that transition phase of life.
Can we really say that 18 year olds are ready to go to war?
I know alot of people want kids to be a certain level of schooling..work stability..married before kids..But society has changed. We dont farm our own food now. When we did it was commonplace to see very young marriages and childbirth. People were all about big families...helping out...morality was center stage. We gave up way too much by allowing big business to provide our needs. Small farms are under attack now because big business owns FDA and unleashes law on the small farmer. We are also in the same fix. We are intimidated to only have so many kids..Stay at home moms are what is shunned now. We are continuously losing the family structure to forced multiple wage earners due to low wages vs big business profit. The structure of today has the nanny system for adults because it works for big business. They get to keep making more while we make less. They are happy to see welfare run wild. We have become so complacent with being forced to do things that people take for granted that force is ok. I would never or could never force a mother to be to have her baby ripped from her because someone said it was a mistake and should not exist. IMO no one has matured to adulthood until they have raised kids. Few who have not had kids are ever ready. Knowing what I know now, If someone asked me what I would do to get ready for a new child I would say " buy a semi load of diapers...wipes..lotion..baby food.." that may sound funny to some.. The box is open..killing unborn children is promoted the same way low wages and making sure that both parents have to work leaving our children to raise themselves, and we wonder why this happens..
Just for you wanna kill it people whom think you can force your agenda on a young mother it is not allowed and not legal. Get that force your abortion and forced adoption off your brain. You asked for it when you joined the world of parenting. Did you really thing being a parent would not include a little woopsie or an early grandchild?

I Think the schools schools and parents are to blame. If anal sex were embraced and taught as a for of birth control, this would not be a problem. Most of the world's problems could be solved through a greater understanding of the values of using your butt. Just an idea.

I personally would give my daughter the choices that are avaliable to her. I would encourage adoption. There are many couples out there looking to adopt. I do not think a teenager has any business having a child. I teach and preach abstinence and birth control to both of my children. My son is no longer a virgin he is 17 was I upset when he told me? Yes to some degree I was, but I meet his father when I was 15 and we were sexually active when I was 16 so I can only look back and remember those days. The reality is no one should force such a decision, because ultimately it is the woman or young woman's choice its her body and its her future that is tied to such a very hard choice!

I do not like abortion. I think, like suicide, it is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. That being said, I also do not agree with a 16 year old attempting to raise a child. A 16 year old is not able emotionally to even grasp the duty of being a parent. The problem is when the parents step in and offer to raise the child. The child grows up confused about role parenting relationships, etc. If a 16 year old girl decides to keep a child today, it is because she and her family are extremely selfish. They are not taking the child's needs into account. They are only concerned with themselves. "if we give the child up for adoption, something will always be missing." What a load of crap. The 16 year old girl wants a doll she can play with until she gets bored. Or she is trying to trap some kid who cannot possibly be a parent either. Giving a child up for adoption is an extremely SELFLESS act. Put the child before your ego. You'll be glad you did. Otherwise you will be ruin additional lives because you are so concerned about yourselves. I know. I've been there.

Forcing a teen to put a child up for adoption or abortion as the only acceptable outcome because the mother is 16 years old is illegal. It is not the right of Grandma to rip a child from it's mother. It is a lie to say to someone that your only option here is to either kill or give a baby away. That is cruel..sick and downright hateful.
What about telling the mother..." oh no you don't! You just created a life and you are going to be a responsible parent just like parents teach you to be."
You could not fathom that right?
or
" Well kid your life is about to change and you are going to learn what adult decisions really are. You Will have a child now and you need to learn all you can to get ready.
Or
"So you are going to have a baby eh? Yahoo! we will go out right away and get you prenatal care and start planning for the new addition to our family. Don't worry, childbirth is a natural thing. we will help you with all the love and support a family can give."
I would be the one who told my grandchild "I was so glad you were comming into my life! I rooted for you all the way! Even though your mother was so young and inexperienced to have a child we helped her all we could and were always there if you needed us."
Some control freak sick people have lost all sense of love and family that the only thing they see with tunnel vision is get rid of it or kill it!
1. If you get rid of it you are not in any way garunteeing a good future or better one for a child. that is just a scare tactic people use on kids to get them to do what you wanted.
2. Did you just put the mother in a situation that maybe she will kill herself? be scarred for life mentally? Be unable to give birth for life? Die on an abortion table?
3. Does puting a child up for adoption cost more to taxpayers or is it cheaper to have the mother raise the child with assistance through the transition phase of becommong an adult?
Foster care does not come free. The cost does not go away until adulthood or adoption. The child that was given up will be supported until a adoptive parent tkes financial responsibility. Do you really thing the foster parent program is so good that all foster parents are not just looking for more money? When they dont need the money they just return the kid paycheck and all back in? While in a foster home, does the cost to society stop?
Basically if you just give up your child to society it will be a foster child. Maybe, just maybe someone will create a relationship strong enough for adoption. What woulod you control freaks do if your teenager had a child and 2 years later your teenager was crippled for life.
1. Try to force her to give her baby away?
2. Share the load.
3. Tell her if she keeps the kid you will turn your back to her.
It is a heartless cruel person that would take a baby from a mother. There are laws to proctect us from such sickness.

Um, last time I checked, most teenage mothers today dump their kids on the grandparents. YOUNG grandparents who happen to be planning for retirement. Again, let go of the ego. Think about where the child would be best off. I will guarantee, it is not with a 16 year old mother. And her parents do not need that baggage while she still wants to be a teenager. GROW UP!
