Adena Housekeepers Slackers

I worked there too, and over the years there has been lot's of Changes. Those sort of things happen in life, but the incentives and just as much as something so Small as a KINDHEARTED THANK-YOU is hard to come by. I know the housekeepers do a GREAT JOB for I have been a customer at Adena as well!

I too works at Adena. It's all a "who you know" game there when it comes to getting hired and keeping your job. I put in 2 1/2 years there as a temp, did a 2 person job by myself for 9 months, worked all the holidays for 2 years, never asked for any time off other than when I was getting married, and time and again, I was passed over for permanent employment because the ones hired knew so and so or was this person's child or friend. The sad thing was, I was more qualified for the position each time than te ones they hired and I was still there long after this people were gone! I saw the favoritism and slacking onthe job because of this. Hell, I was "let go" a week after I put in my 2 week notice because a co-worker tried to get me to divulge information on a patient (I worked in records) and after I refused, she pulled their chart to read (I caught her red handed!), and when I took the chart to refile, she ran to the department supervisor claiming I had told her everything! During my day off (next day), they removed email correspondence from my personal locker, deleted more from my internal account, and falsified documents about me, and when I returned for work the next day, had me removed from the
property by security because they claimed in the falsified reports I tried to fight with the co-worker that I caught with the patient chart..... Yeah, it's a great place to work....IF you know the right people and kiss their asses properly!

I agree about the favoritism that goes along with the employees there too! It truely does go with relatives and the hiring and firing and getting set up and Im sure you wont be the last one that happens to. There is alot of Corruption and alot needs to be investigated , but will it ever happen ???

There is some people that get away with doing nothing all day.
Two in housekeeping just follow each other around all day, one will push a cart and the other will hold the door open for him. Now just how is that fair to the other housekeepers. But it doesn't do any good to say anything about it. The department needs to be looked into.

ive been at adena over 10 yrs. and it used to be a really caring place to work, but as necessary with the times, things change ! I guess we need to adapt or start going to the HR Dept, we ALL have rights you know, and Good luck .

.... and WHO IS IT that does the FLOOR CARE in Housekeeping ?? They are not trained right or need RE-TRAINED or something!! The floors in the Medical Office Building are FILTHY !!!

Have you heard where Dionne Anderson went to? She is the new director of housekeeping at a Reading Hospital in Pa. She has got alot of balls to go to another hospital. Was wondering if charges will be pressed on her.

What do you think about the first shift supervisor in housekeeping? I think she is very 2 faced, rude, and very lazy. She needs to get out of her office and go around and see what is going on with the housekeepers. Mabe she can see the ones that are goofing off and the ones that are really working. Then maybe she would make them do their jobs and not let them just do nothing all day.

Adena will probably be contracting their housekeeping services out to a private contractor. They've already done that to over a hundred employees who worked in Coding, Medical Records and Transcription. Adena just called these employees into a meeting and told them that they would be working for the new contractor the following day. Of those that took the jobs, probably a third are no longer employed by the contractor and it will only get worse.

This lady is the lowest of all. She is evil and will do anything to talk about or get someone fired. She deserved what she got. By getting fired. She is a liar. You can't trust her. She deserves jail time. After what's she's doing.

Registered Nurse well I wouldn't brag about it!! I sat out in the ER for 4 hours then another hour an a half in the room you Doctors are a bunch of jokes! By the way I didn't know topics was a spelling bee thanks for letting us all know!! Very very slow adena docs

I was wondering if you doctors Registered Nurses are so intelligent smart why do you send most patients to columbus silly?? Adena is one big joke every time I go there I will sit for hours and hours and hours.. So what are all the Doctors Registered Nurses doing back there besides having their thubs up their @sses:)

I do not work at Adena, never have, but my husband was a patient there, about 3 times. I can remember one time when he was an in-patient for 8 days. There was dirt and paper on the floor that was there for the full 8 days....just saying! We had great RNs and not so great RNs. It is the same everywhere. What I would do is keep a small notebook, and when you observe things like you are talking about, write them down, WITH DATES AND TIMES. Compose a letter and send it to the hospital director with all of the dates and times of incidents. Include everything. You do not have to sign it. They cannot do anything about any department if they don't see it, and when they are busy with their jobs, meetings, etc., they just don't see what you do. They need to know.

I hear you on that one i have sat out there for hours myself. But what really got to me a few months ago after sitting for hours. They took me to the very back and guess what. Their was all the doctors laughing joking around just f##cking around doing nothing. I was pissed after sitting out there all day and you are right that place is a f##cking joke.
