I am begining to wonder if all this talk of God on here has lead them to me. Not being mean
But was wondering if anyone else here as gotten calls after calls from them. I have never gotten so many knocks at the door. Never have I ever had them call me on the phone. Since my number is not listed I wonder how they know who to ask for....

I'm confused. Are Jehova's Witnesses the same as Mormons? I did get a visit once from some representatives from the Church of the Latter Day Saints. They were just walking up and down the street, so I was not singled out in any way. I have never gotten a phone call.

Chelle, please let me know if the Gnostics start calling.

Tell them to do their own thing!

Actually I believe it is the 144,000 of them who will go to heaven. Some of the elders claim that they are some of those who will go to heaven. It was never explained to me how they "know" this. The last "end time" I am aware of was 1975, which was about the time I left the JW's. I understand that many JW's were very disappointed that the end didn't come in 1975, and also left. Well DUH!

Jehovah's Witnesses, definitely a different crowd. They don't do Halloween is mainly what I remember them for. Their houses would be dark on Halloween, as in don't ask for any candy there. They drop by the house now every now and again, always dressed in suits & ties, invariably polite.

Hallowenn is based on Pagan customs, as are Christmas and Easter.

Just do you research on these customs, and compare them with Biblical teachings about participating in pagan customs. I agree that they are different. This is the "religion" thing again. If a man is Amish, he must have a beard if he is married. Yet JW's frown or disapprove of a man wearing a beard. But to each his own. I would prefer that people keep their religions to themselves.
