I enjoy the game myself, we have several games from the GTA franchise.

But, it's rated "M" for a reason...

I can tell you that, when I was playing my Atari 2600 back in the day, I never thought video games would be like they are now!

Doom, Duke Nukem 3D and Mortal Kombat. Those were the day!

Indeed, the realism of video games today is incredible, and there is a strong market to make things even more realisitc. This in turn fuels better processors, better video chips, better software, etc. All of this creates good, high-tech jobs. As long as these jobs stay in the US, and people can continue to distinguish reality from fantisy, then let the game series continue.

Thank you!!! I agree with WMC 100%!!! The parents who buy these game for their kids then get upset because of what the game contains should be slapped. There is a rating system in place for a reason. Let's focus on the more important thing's in life, gangs, drugs, gas prices....

i saw its a new generation and the oldies don't understand it happens all the time they say it every generation , well guess what every generation there are going to be new fads and phases and of course the older generations that have been brought up in an extremely different way will disagree with them.

just let the kids do what they want as long as they take precaution and be aware of the dangers of they choices they make.

exactly, there is a rating on Videogames for a reason and its always the parents/store that sold the [M]17+ rating game to a young kid, and i'm sick of all these dumb parents that buy these [M]17+ games for there underage kids & then blaming the videogame company cuz there kid stole care or killed someone & say its the videogame fault... welll YOUR WRONG its the stupid parents fault for buying 17+ game for a underage child, you dam well kno kids are dumb & easy get real/make believe confused and dont understand the diffrents. so stop blaming videogames & the videogame company's for your bad parenting.

Parents do not pay enough attention to their children.... If you have a 12 year old child, do not let these NC17 or Mature games into your're household. There's enough of that stuff on the street, and you have a hard enough time teaching you're children right from wrong!!! Instead puzzles can snap you're mind in gear.

GTA IV is a great game. But I don't think kids under 13 should play this game. It shouldn't be 18 year old age limit though. Kids in high school can handle this game.

IAWTC, by the way I think you mean "Nanny 911" I find it absolutely ridiculous that some parents can't discipline their own children or let their child disrespect them, talk back to them or even spit on them and in the end they need to call someone to discipline their own children, but I digress.

To be more relevant to the topic's interest I find it annoying how the parents and others blame video games for whatever reason, when you can easily see that stuff in the media every day be it on television or even the radio. The parents are responsible for what games they get their children, don't get a game and then complain about it later. Just don't buy the game for your child in the first place and I personally feel that there are more important things to worry about than how violent video games are.

That's the problem. The liberals let the kids do what they wanted and look where it got them. The kids of today have no respect for themselves or anything around them. Unlike you Amber and your generation in my day we respected our parents, teachers, police officer, etc. Yes we got into trouble doing things like taking apples from someones tree or taking something out of someone's garden. The big difference between my generation and yours is we didn't go around shooting, stabbing, baseball batting, destroying every thing in site or trying to kill someone just for fun like your generation does. I'll take my generation over yours anytime. So you'll know my generation I'm 53.
