Once again more of you lies......LOL
1. Your link does not say that bilingual ESL programs are illegal.......LOL
2. I posted a link with hundreds of bilingual ESL programs that are operating today in California public schools..........LOL
Nice try.......LOL.......But try again.........LOL
you responded to the wrong person.

But it does say that it made bilingual ed, with some exceptions, illegal in California.

You are being ridiculous. Most laws have exceptions why should prop 227 be any different?

Now only a moronic liberal like you would rant about how bilingual education is illegal in California when there is a PUBLIC school in the CHICO unified school district that has education in bilingual class were the class is taught in more than English..........LOL

Why don't you start looking to see that your own back yard proves you wrong???

Here you go, again:

"Proposition 227[1] was a California ballot proposition passed in the June 2, 1998 ballot. It EFFECTIVELY ENDED BILINGUAL PROGRAMS IN THE STATE(with some exceptions) and replaced them with the Structured English Immersion model.[2]"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/California_Propo ...(1998)

Proposition 227--English for the Childrenwww.onenation.org/Cached -
"English for the Children, A CALIFRONIA INITIATIVE TO END BILINGUAL EDUCATION IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS, a project of One Nation/One California."

Etc. etc.

So once again you fail to post a link that backs up anything you say.........LOL

And the WIKI link is using many words that are not even contained in the text of the law like Effectively ended

The facts are that to have a class in Spanish one only has to state that a child will benefit from a class taught in spanish .......LOL

Far from NOT LEGAL like you said..........ROTFLMAO

Here is the wording from the TEXT of the law not from WIKI..........LOL

10. The requirements of Section 305 may be waived with the prior written informed consent, to be provided annually, of the child's parents or legal guardian under the circumstances specified below and in Section 311. Such informed consent shall require that said parents or legal guardian personally visit the school to apply for the waiver and that they there be provided a full description of the educational materials to be used in the different educational program choices and all the educational opportunities available to the child. Under such parental waiver conditions, children may be transferred to classes where they are taught English and other subjects through bilingual education techniques or other generally recognized educational methodologies permitted by law. Individual schools in which 20 pupils or more of a given grade level receive a waiver shall be required to offer such a class; otherwise, they must allow the pupils to transfer to a public school in which such a class is offered.

Now if all you have to do is request a bilingual ESL program than they can't be illegal.........LOL

Can you request permission to drive drunk?
Can you request permission to rob a bank?
NOPE

The law made nothing illegal and only made a requirement that a parent or teacher ask for a bilingual class and then one will be provided...

Can ya do that with Crack?
How about LSD?

Or robbing banks?

Bottom line is that this statement was a lie and you have failed to show any evidence that any type of bilingual schools is illegal........ROTFLMAO
