California should borrow from Arizona

Apparently the author hasn't looked at any recent economic data from Arizona. The state is in one of the worst positions it has been in years-- and I say this as an Arizonan. Before reluctantly signing the bill into law, Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano called it "death sentance" for Arizona's business community. She only signed it because she feared something more extreme being put through the referendum process.

Before you advocate for something, you should actually do some research...

While California is borrowing, why not borrow the
idea of Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio's idea
of his tent city prison with no perks, back to chain gangs, pink underwear, etc, his idea keeps
the overcrowded prisons from releasing prisoners,
instead they get room and board in a tent and it saves the taxpayers a ton of money.

Let's see now, Fidel Castro did it this way: Gather up all the criminals and violent mental patients and put them all on boats to America. Maybe we should return the favor with illegal aliens who've been convicted of felonies. Naw, it'll never happen.

Remove low wage earners who pay little or not taxes, remove their children from classrooms, them from ER rooms, and you will have a gain, it may take some time for a balance to happen, but you remove a net drain and you will see a positive. Unlike some of you po-dunk backwater people I actually travel. FYI, I live off and on in CA and AZ-- and almost all of my relatives live in AZ. It's only six hours away for gosh sake!

The state is in a nightmare of an economical downturn. The funny thing is, kicking out immigratn families means kicking out workers, and also kicking out revenue. It is kind of interesting, the way that anti-immigrant people can rail without any data. If you look at a Udall Center (University of Arizona) study from Summer 07, the researchers clearly demonstrate that in terms of tax revenue, immigrants contribute far more than they actually take out of the state coffers. And their benefit to the business community is massive, of course.

These laws aren't helping Arizona. They are hurting Arizona and killing Arizona's business climate. Arizona has benefitted from immigration. It is funny that at the points where immigration was high, Arizona's economy has also been high.

Arizona is not in good shape financially. Sheriff Joe's tent cities and chain gangs insure his reelection as he panders to the ultra left who actually believe this saves money. It saves Joe money on his campaigns. The fact is, that republicans are a horror on the economy.

We have 130,000 soldiers in Iraq and 180,000 private citizens there profiteering off the war as guests of our government. THe top one percent of American citizens control 90% of the money in this country, and Rick Silva is campaigning against some Mexicans crossing the border. Rick, you have worked your way up in this newspaper, and have shown ignorance at every level you've worked at. Are you defending immigrants or illegal invaders? There is a diferrence, you know. Most of these illegals are using stolen Social Security numbers to "work".
The taxes paid in to fake stolen Social Security accounts and ITIN's in no way covers the cost to legal tax paying citizens for those 300,000 anchor babies dropped in the U.S. each year, free medical care, free education and food stamps to those jackpot babies,[which by the way are "second hand" benefits to the illegal parent], the cost of jailing or deporting criminal invaders, etc.
According to the Center for Immigration Studies, they use far more in services than they might happen to pay into Social Security or pay in federal taxes.

The American people are sick and tired of the abuse to its citizens through identity theft and Social Security card theft by (mostly Mexican) invaders who assume they have the right to destroy the future job and credit history of our citizens, especially the young who will not know of this fraud until they turn 18 and apply for a job or credit!
